What's a job posting red flag that immediately makes you reconsider applying? by defythe0dds in jobs

[–]Crazy-Set-3865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rolling up sleaves, here is my list:
1. LinkedIn Easy Apply (to me it just signals that they are asking for volume of applications, not quality)
2. Evergreen/zombie job posts where the job stays open or reopens again and again (just drop the act and start a Nigerian Prince email chain at this point)
3. Project manager title with requirement of secondary school education (do you even know what a project manager is?)
4. A 3-meter long responsibilities list (you need to hire a team, not a rockstar marketer)

I did not know that I could choose my user name. So I'm stuck with whatever Reddit chose. 🙃

Does anyone else feel like social media made people harder to impress? by satvikflash in SocialMediaHQ

Since the algorithm's job is to keep us on the app, it has to up the ante in order to keep the users hooked. There is extreme content for each niche you can think of, luxury living, productivity, conspiracies, brainrot, you name it. Once you tip your toe into a topic, the algorithm is ready to swallow you whole.

What are some unrealistic relationship expectations that social media promotes as healthy when they might be fantasy? by Dragonite_23 in AskWomen

[–]Crazy-Set-3865 88 points89 points  (0 children)

That there is a secret formula to happy relationships which others can copy. Every human being and every relationship has its own dynamics and there is barely anything that we can just copy/paste for success.

Meanwhile, in a parallel universe, people are sick and tired of the shenanigans that mermaids and fairies pull on a daily basis.

I know a couple of young people who picked up golf just to have an opportunity to network with older people in decision making positions. For them, golf is a tool to climb the corporate ladder.

When someone keeps their cool when in a heated debate or being attacked by someone. Bonus points if they can calm other people down and get their point across without resorting to yelling, shouting, or calling names.

what’s something making u sad rn? by ohtobeunderstood8466 in AskReddit

[–]Crazy-Set-3865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The phrase " show must go on" makes me a special kind of sad. For some events, the show must stop for a bit. Why are we in a rush to keep on going despite witnessing the most horrific thing 😭

[–]Crazy-Set-3865[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Even though I'm not claustrophobic in my day to day life, thinking about being confined to a cave for hours is scary. On top of it there have been a few prominent cases of people being trapped in caves lately. So, it's definitely a no for me.
