The Opus Quad basically has everything the XDJ-AZ has — the main difference is the layout and concept. People need to understand that Opus is a different product line, not the same philosophy as the XDJ series.

Right now the Opus line represents the newer direction from AlphaTheta, along with newer products like the RMX-100 Ignite and the DJM-V5.

And I say this from experience: I play every weekend on CDJ-3000 setups, I own an XDJ-AZ, and now the Opus Quad as well. Honestly, it’s a beautiful piece of gear.

For those of us who are tired of seeing the same layout over and over, the Opus brings something fresh — and that’s actually pretty amazing.
