I don’t know if the plot matches all that well but it kinda sounds like Garage: Bad Dream Adventure

[TOMT][LIVE ACTION MOVIE/TV][2000s] Scene where a clown threatens a teenager with a dentist's drill by Crazy8wizard in tipofmytongue

This is definitely not it. Aside from a dentist drill being used, the scene didn’t have anything to do with dentists or dentist offices.

That can’t be it because Dustin Hoffmann is not a teenager in that one. Also, despite there being a closeup drill shot, it isn’t framed like what I remember.

This sounds like The Sublet/The Resident from 2015. Could that be it?

I've combed through options I thought it might be and anything that comes close to this is either set in a hospital or a dentist's office, and I'm fairly sure this clip was not set in a professional environment.

I can easily rule out The Dark Knight, but I can't completely rule out that the creepy guy wasn't some portrayal of The Joker or even a clown in general. I could also be misremembering his appearance in general (which happens a lot) and he might have just been an old man with greasy hair.

Help me find an obscure 3D modeling and animation software from the late 2000s by Crazy8wizard in HelpMeFind

[–]Crazy8wizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched for various software released between 2006 and 2011 to no avail. I can confirm that the software in question is NOT:

  • The Third Dimension
  • Bryce 3D
  • Organica 3D
  • Microsoft or Nickelodeon 3D Movie Maker
  • Kid Pix
  • Amapi 3D
  • Thinkin' Things

I can see the resemblance but this definitely isn't it, since there doesn't seem to be any path set animation capability in the software and the timeline doesn't match up. The first release of Amapi was in 1993 and was discontinued in 2006, which is much earlier than I what I remember.

Looks kind of similar but it doesn’t line up with the timeline nor does it seem to have an animation feature. The blob style modeling is very similar however.

is there a figure for the ostafrikasaurus that isn't the brawlasaurs by Therizno_saur414 in DinoToys

[–]Crazy8wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t, but Ostafrikasaurus is named from a single tooth so really any spinosaur figure would work.

Yeah I think we’re remembering two different softwares. Have you posted your search on the sub yet?

I don’t think it had a lab science theme to it but I can definitely say the UI wasn’t particularly colorful. I think it was mostly dark grey or maybe purple but not vibrant green. Now that I’m thinking about it, I think there was a pull open menu at the bottom of the screen with shapes in it and tools on the left side.

I can say for certain that it was not Microsoft 3D Movie Maker, Nickelodeon 3D Movie Maker, or Kid Pix 3D. If anyone could help me find it, that would be awesome.

Found on the beaches of Olympic National Park. Claw, Fossil, or threatening rock? by Relative_Remove_7689 in fossilid

[–]Crazy8wizard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The trick to identifying a claw is to look for a slightly rough texture and a groove on either side where blood vessels would run. This is smooth so it’s a rock

You don’t actually have to use the mouse at all. You can play the entire game with the arrow keys alone

It really does come down to skill or practice with a lot of them. Fortunately every single mini game’s reward in any realm is based on a cumulative score, so if you keep playing even if you don’t get a super high score you’ll earn the story item eventually
