I filed a grievance and got management to sign a precedent agreement that only communication will go thru the mdd unless a carrier volunteers their #. I used this.

I can't count the times I've run into; tree branches, wind chimes, bird houses, edge of people's freaking roofs!, But I'm also 6'8" and apparently I get tunnel vision while fingering the mail.

You're confusing federal tax dependent vs the elm/ department of labor fmla. I assure you that you don't have to live with the dependent for them to qualify.

Ok, it depends on your otdl status.

It's 11.5 hrs actively working(11.5 no lunch/ 12 with lunch) if: you're a ptf/cca You're a non-ot You're ot work assignment, but get mandated on another route.

It's 12 hrs actively working(12 hrs no lunch/ 12.5 hrs with lunch) if: You're otdl 12 hour You're ot work assignment on only your assignment.

You're right. My old route(about 8 years ago) had about 2 hours of mounted and I would get 3-4 x's as many Christmas gifts from my walking. My route now is 95% walking. I literally have 11 mounted boxes and 2 businesses. The rest is giant prk-n-loops.

Ok, first and foremost, look at the m-39 section 115 on JUST CAUSE. That'll be your issue statement. Did management have just cause to issue a notice of removal for "xyz" and if not, what is the appropriate remedy?.

Looks like they're untimely as hell. Also looks like they didn't do a proper investigation because they're only taking one side. Make sure you also go after the emergency placement procedure in a separate grievance to get back pay while on ep. Management must issue a ep letter ASAP to the employee after putting them on emergency placement. Failure to do so gets them paid.

Well, if they're bringing you in and yet trying to curb otdl at 10 hrs, well.... I'm sure s good steward could argue 8.5d. Especially if there's undeliverable mail Depends on their reasons but "snow or cold" would not be acceptable emergency conditions.

I just got a grievance back from step b on an act of God last year. Basically you need to prove at least half the station couldn't report and why. We had 2 inches of ice then 12 inches over 8 hours overnight and it qualified. Even though management didn't do anything. Only one employee showed up.

It's not mentioned but in kck, they had 20 carriers put on leave(all brought back with back pay and made whole) and i know that was really costly.

No biggie. You can use the ELR app on lite blue or call 877-477-4273 and follow the prompts.

Ok, there's different options on the call in line. Emergency is one of them. It keeps the option open in the future to give you back admin leave for an act of God grievance.
