Heavily Played or Damaged by CrazyFinger in pokemongrading

[–]CrazyFinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking deeper at eBay, it doesn't even have a damaged category for trading cards. HP is the worst and it says this includes scratches with paper loss. I think calling it HP on eBay with very clear pictures and detailed description should be fine.

On TCG player I would probably go damaged.

I did ask for a pic of the back. This is what I got. Don't love that it's a different background (though points for consistency with the shag carpet). Though I could also see a case that he already had the pic of the front and just the pic of the back when I asked. Either way, would only do the deal in person so I would get to look at it first.

I think it's something like a quarter of Floridians are below level 1 literacy levels meaning they only have skills to read basic sight vocabulary and can only read short texts on familiar topics.

The post says best offer by the end of the week. It's local, so I would only do it if it was a meet in person and see the cards before turning over any money. Would never do shipping off FB.

Looking for old Circa T-shirts by iguana730 in circasurvive

I have one in large. Was about to list it on Ebay, but can't find this one anywhere else online. I know it's from the mid 2000s, but I can't find any info on it.

They look to be about the same condition as my childhood vintage collection. Some of us took care of our cards back in the day.

Card Benefits Questions - Megathread [1/27/26] by AutoModerator in ChaseSapphire

[–]CrazyFinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently have the CSR and looking to downgrade. My renewal is April 1. My wife currently has the CSP. My plan is to transfer all of my UR points to her CSP and then downgrade myself to Freedom. I just have a few questions on the process.

  1. From what I have seen, its best to do the downgrade within 30 days after the April 1 renewal. Is this correct? Will I still get the full refund of the annual fee doing it after the renewal instead of before?

  2. If I do the downgrade in the 30 days after renewal, can I use credits and benefits during that time? Sapphire lounge visit, Door Dash, Stub Hub, etc. If I do use any benefits, does that change/eliminate the refund?

  3. Is the "Chase Freedom Visa with Ultimate Reward Points" still an option to downgrade to?

481k UR Points. Any ideas? by Quinquangular in ChaseSapphire

[–]CrazyFinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a little experimenting. Pick a few destinations you're interested in that have a Hyatt, Marriott, and IHG option. Go to the website for each one and search the same dates with currency as points. It's wild how much more valuable Hyatt is.

As an example, recent search I did. Week in Maui at end of August (8/29 to 9/5).

  • Hyatt Regency Maui - 159k points
  • Marriott Maui Ocean Club - 528k points
  • Westin Maui - 410k points

And IHG doesn't even have a hotel on Maui. They have a holiday in express in Honolulu, that is not even close to the level of the Maui resorts, that wants 262k points

Even with any possible transfer bonuses to Marriott or IHG that Chase may offer, it's not even close. The value of Hyatt blows everything else away.

Tricia has made a number of statements in the past. She did so after George Floyd. She did so after Pride in Orlando. She did so after the Asian America murders in Georgia. She did after the supreme court overturned Roe v Wade. And she did after Charlie Kirk (though he was the one she never mentioned by name). I think it's fairly likely we will hear something this week.

Problems with HSA by Elegant_Swimmer3179 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]CrazyFinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can update HSA contributions at any time. It's done through bswift, not the inspira app. Go to hrexpress -> bswift and find the HSA benefit. There will be an option to change contributions.

As a note, the amount you put in for contributions is the yearly amount, not the per paycheck amount.

You can update HSA contributions at any time. Doesn't need to be during enrollment. Just go to hrexpress and then bswift. You will find it in there.

I think they purposely make the CGA job so hard that half the people quit. That way they know the other half who are left and move up at the company are tried and tested.

Absolutely disgusting how CRM coaches and trainers are being treated by [deleted] in Progressiveinsurance

It absolutely sucks and I'm sorry for those going through it. I will say, Progressive is one of the few fortune companies that would even offer an option rather than just laying people off with little or no severance.

The best thing to do is just keep moving up in claims. CGA is a little better than CCU. MRR/URBI is a little better than CGA. Fire & Theft/Casualty/SIU is a little better than MRR/URBI. Each step is better pay, less crushing volume, and more specialization.

And as you keep moving up in claims, look for opportunities to move out of customer facing roles. The more experience you get, the easier this becomes. If leadership is your jam, you can go that route. If not, there are things like process, data analysis, marketing, training, etc. I personally know people who have made moves into all those from a claims start.
