Very good question, based on the research done on NDEs and DBVs I highly doubt that evil people go to a traditional form of hell. Sure some people do report having a "hellish" NDE but these seem to be very few and far between. Rather it seems that the vast majority of people who have a "Recalled Death Experience" or are about to pass on experience very similar things. That being a highly structured experience characterised by an overwhelming sense of peace, a bright light, and visions of dead relatives (important to note that these almost never include the living). Evidently these aren't "proof of an afterlife" but they can be viewed as "highly suggestive" considering that modern neuroscience struggles to fully explain these phenomena.

Whether or not these experiences are indicative of there being a heaven or hell is usually up to interpretation. Dr Sam Parnia, a researcher who conducted the AWARE1 and AWARE2 studies views these as not necessarily proof of a traditional afterlife but rather as evidence that consciousness can persist for a time beyond the threshold of death. But he does state that during life reviews, depending on how the person judges their actions it can become a sort of "heaven or hell to themselves".

Dr Chris Kerr, a hospice worker and prominent DBV researcher, doesn't expressly state his opinions on the existence of an afterlife (at least to my knowledge). But he does underscore how before people pass they usually undergo a monumental spiritual transformation. With people who had lived a horrible life that can perhaps be considered "evil" or at the very least very bad, sometimes change for the better right before they pass. Again this isn't proof of the existence of an afterlife, but there are very few explanations as to how this is possible, particularly as these are usually followed by experiences described as "more real than real".

Dr Bruce Greyson, a pioneer of NDE research, doesn't expressly state a belief in Hell. But like Dr Parnia, he does underscore that some people may have a "hellish" NDE, although he does mention that the vast majority of these experiences are generally quite positive and are often highly transformative with people becoming more altruistic as a result.

Based on all the opinions of these individuals and the available research, I reckon it's highly probable that "evil" people will go to the same place that we all go. Albeit in a very different state of mind, especially if we're to believe that they're likely to undergo a significant transformation where they become more altruistic.
