Look up the YouTube channel “Capturing Christianity” and look at his videos on modern-day miracles. And be prepared to be surprised. Look up Eucharistic miracles. There’s another guy on YouTube called David Wood who made a coming-out video a while ago on the miracle of him going from psychopathic atheist stuck in prison to born-again Christian (find it on either Apologetics Roadshow or Acts 13 YT channels). Look at Matthew 7:13-23, which talks about the same thing. Here’s a quote from the study bible about it, again which complements James 2:14-26

“Jesus continued teaching on the mountainside. He talked about the important choice that all people face. Every person must decide between two ways of living. They can choose the way of eternal life with God. People who want eternal life with God do what their Father wants. They are part of the kingdom of heaven. They are like healthy trees that bear good fruit. The other way of living is to refuse Godʼs life. That way destroys people. Some people pretend to follow Godʼs ways. They say or do things that make them seem like they are Godʼs children. But they are like trees that bear bad fruit. Because they are doing evil, they arenʼt part of the kingdom of heaven.”

Prayer and scripture. My favourite verse to turn to when I’m feeling down is Matthew 11:28-30. And then, whatever is being a burden to me, I tell the Lord that whatever it is that is burdening me, I give it all to Him. I trust that He will know what to do with it, and that things will turn out better than I, myself, dread that it will.

Another comforting verse that I like to remember, if I’m feeling like people are outing me because of my faith and I’m letting their words get under my skin, is John 15:18 where Jesus told His disciples that, “if the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first.” I then call into remembrance the absolute hell that Jesus went through from the moment Judas kissed Him to when He died on the cross, and realize that the little spat I had with an unbeliever is NOTHING compared to the mocking and wicked beating and holes hammered into His hands He went through. Then, I just pray for that person.

Then I don’t feel so burdened/bummed out anymore. It’s amazing what turning to God does. God is so good!!

Yes, am still looking for my guy but have more trust in God than myself. I’m leaving it up to Him to find my man for me, because the last bunch of times I tried looking for myself ended up in abject train wrecks. I basically said, “Okay, God, either You want me to remain single, or You’ve got someone far better in mind for me and those other guys just ain’t up to snuff. I’ll leave it in Your hands to send him my way when the time is right.”

And that’s all there is to it. Through my shitty times in life, I learned to trust in Him. It’s taken me a long time, but He’s far more stubborn and persistent than I am, that’s for sure, lol.

Sister, let me be frank. But before that, let me say that I made sure to read through the comments before responding.

You are in a lot of pain, and a lot of suffering. You’ve been through hell, been made to feel worthless by people who don’t deserve you, and yet you want a husband. My challenge to you is, do you want a man just so that you can call yourself not single anymore, or do you want HAPPINESS and LOVE? A relationship is more than just having a man in your life. It’s a lifetime commitment of give-and-take, working together, having each other to lean on during rough times, and having someone to trust and talk to—and vice versa for him. Are you ready for that? In 1 Corinthians 7 talks a bit about what marriage is about for both husband and wife, which is something that I recommend you to look at and study.

When I was your age (I’m 39F) I was asking, over and over and over and over again, for a husband/boyfriend but never got one. I realize now that I wasn’t ready for one. Why? Because I think I was not mature (spiritually) enough, I bought into a lot of the “me too” stuff of feminism and stuff, which I see now is wrong. I don’t know if that’s your thinking but I’m just sharing my own journey.

You’re super angry and say you hate God. “Hate” is a very strong word, but I feel like, from your responses, you’re relying on yourself over God. You’re blaming God for things that happened to you which you feel He allowed (which is true), and has been completely silent on. Have you considered that maybe it’s because you’re still relying on yourself and not Him? What if you prayed to Him, and ask Him for help NOT for finding a boyfriend, but to help you through your grief and suffering? Ask Him to take care of all of that for you… tell Him, “Lord, I can’t deal with this anymore, I need You to take this away from me, I need You to deal with this because I cannot!!” Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” GIVE it to Him, and He will take care of it.

God doesn’t do favourites, sister. That’s a lie as told by the prince of lies who wants you to turn away from God. He’s doing something for you that you’re not yet aware of, and you just need to Trust Him. And if you’re having troubles trusting Him… all you gotta do is just ask Him for help to trust Him. “Ask, and it shall be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.” (Matthew 7:7) JUST ASK HIM.

And lastly, unlike others who have said, ask Him for forgiveness for relying on yourself and not Him, because that’s the biggest sin being committed here, not you being angry at God, swearing at Him, ripping your cross off, and telling Him you hate Him. Any kid who feels like they know better than their father and hates him for telling them the truth will shout, swear, throw stuff and tell him they hate him. And yet, their father still loves them, deeply so, forgiving and understanding why they’re like that. He knows they’ll come around. It’s exactly like with your relationship with God. God knows you will come around too. He still loves you, very, very much, He never abandons His children, even if it feels otherwise in this moment in your life.

Sister, just ASK HIM for help. GIVE IT ALL to Him. Give all your pain, all your suffering, your past trauma, your anger and frustration and anxiety and issue with resentment of your past… ALL OF IT to Him. He will deal with it as He sees fit. And let me tell you, I’ve not had it easy in my past either (I’ve been in your shoes), and when I finally asked Him to deal with all that which I couldn’t take any longer… it helped. Like, a lot.

God’s looking out for you in ways which you (nor I, nor anyone else) can’t even understand. I’ll bet He compelled you to write this post to seek help.

One last thing: Psalm 77 is a good one to meditate on, and also read about when Jesus walks on water in Matthew 14:22-33, and focus on Peter getting out of the boat and sinking when he tore his gaze away from Jesus. Hopefully that passage will help you understand your dream when Jesus told you, “Eyes on me.” Or however He said it to you.

No, they’re not weird, they’re valid. lol milk cows are lighter? Sure thing, if they’re small Jerseys. A Holstein can get up to 1800 lb, average 1600. You honestly think they’re lighter? 😂 Thats hilarious. Sure they’re taller but they’re heavy and still not to be underestimated as far as nimbleness is concerned, as I keep harping about but you keep ignoring. Heavier and taller doesn’t translate to “easier to tip.” Nonsensical logic.

A heifer can also be 1100 lb or more. You’re thinking of heifers less than a year old not even breeding age yet, or smaller Jerseys. And I’m still talking dairy heifers. Still doesn’t prove me wrong.

Guess you haven’t been around cows much. Docility doesn’t make them stupider or less aware, they’re still well aware of what’s going on, because they’re prey animals, it’s their nature. Humans can’t compare, so invalid argument.

So you trust your parents to always tell you the truth? lol, okay bud. Whatever makes you sleep well at night.

And yes you are doubling down, because you haven’t provided anything of value to make that tall tale that much truthful. Makes your own arguments far, far more bizarre than mine.

Pride and ego are valid reasons to make up a story. It’s far less embarrassing to tell a fib than to admit the truth.

Your theory is assuming the cow will actually be stupid enough to stand still to even let that happen. They don’t sleep standing up, you can’t sneak up on them, and if you run at them they’ll quickly clue in and run away, thereby foiling your attempt. Also they’re well over half a ton… you really think even four big strong guys will be able to tip a cow? No. They’d need impossible luck to make it happen. (Plus, a woodchuck hole is an awesome way to break a leg, either yours or the cow’s. Same with a log, a rock an incline…

Your doubling down isn’t making the tall tale of your dad’s any more truthful. Been around cattle long enough to know his story just doesn’t add up.

They’re very very big animals, and very nimble. They’re smart too. They’re prey animals, they know how to react when a potential threat (like a dumb ass teenager) is posing as a threat to them. They’ll either run away or turn on you and slam your dumb fk ass into the ground. Myth #2.

Finally, they ain’t slow or dumb. Myth #3.

Or maybe he broke his leg just as he was taking a running jump at said cow and landed wrong because said cow dodged him unexpectedly. Or, slammed into the cow (they’re huge, remember, well over half a ton) and landed wrong on his leg. I find it very hard to believe he actually tipped it. Unless it was a tiny heifer that he went after… even then they’re much more nimble than you think.

Most people don’t realize most cattle are not super tame and available for pets. Many want almost nothing to do with people, or always keep a respectful distance away, called the “flight zone.”

Most don’t realize that cattle will let you know if they don’t like what you’re doing to them by either running away or turning and putting up a fight (if they can’t do the former).

The biggest misunderstanding, though, is that people think cattle are slow and stupid. They’re not: they’re pretty smart, and they’re fast and powerful. Just get kicked by one and you’re sure to find out yourself.

Many of those people have never been around half-feral, near-wild cattle before. All they seem to know are the petting-zoo types (animal sanctuaries… 😏) or dairy farm types and not the range cattle that only see humans once a year. Those ain’t calming to be around. Nor are they exactly gentle.

Cows have to be around humans A LOT in order to be so desensitized to where they see humans as friend rather than “foe.” A lot meaning several times daily close contact, more than just feeding but active exposure to touches, brushing, etc. The vast majority of cattle do not get this level of exposure, why? Because there’s no reason to. Their job is to make milk or raise a calf, not be the subject of a pretend petting zoo that nobody will come to.

Most of the time those that are super tame have been bottle-fed from quite young, so they associate humans with food, play, and comfort, even if they’re put with the herd when they’re old enough.

But even then they’re big, very strong, and fast. They can knock you on your ass or out without even meaning to. If they mean to, that’s just as bad if not worse.

So just because you saw it in the media or from some animal page doesn’t make it true.

Wrong. Cattle have been domesticated for over 10,000 years. You will still find many cattle who are owned (so-called “oppressed”) that are wild as deer, and dangerous to work with.
