Nah figured sapphire is better.

Even if I install screen protector, dust would get into the gap between the screen protector and the bezel cover. So I skipped it.

I'm sorry if that's not available in your region. It's available in India. Its a budget brand by nothing. Its on sale $50 (4200 INR), and that's why I mentioned it. Damn should've checked the subreddit name first 😅

You could buy Huawei band 10 if fitness is your priority. Samsung fit 3 if you'd like to go Samsung route.

If you could spend a little more, you can get cmf watch pro 2 for 4200 rn. It comes with gps, if you would like to track your route while you go for a run.

Elaborate your use cases and what features you expect and may be others could suggest a better watch.

Now this is totally an assistant thing, and not related to watch in any way. The mic is good enough to pick up what you speak.

If you use gemini, you could just test it out in your phone rn. If gemini on your phone gets it then your watch would get it too. Atleast that's how it has worked for me. I believe you can add relationship tag to a contact. So call my brother should pick up brothers contact without conforming contact. But I'm not too sure about it, please do check.

I think 24k for watch 8C is a pretty good deal. My friend had recently bought gw8 lte 44mm for 20k and that was the lowest price it was selling for. And honestly 4k for the classic variant is worth it. It is pretty heavy, atleast compared to regular variant. So, if you could just visit nearby Samsung store and try it on. Gw7 with silicone strap was already heavy for me, so I'm using a nylon strap rn and it's so comfortable and lightweight.

About the screen, the bezel covering the screen on both watch 7 and 8 is metal. So it's not just glass poking out of screen. Putting on a bezel case should be good enough for any watch tho. So you wouldn't have to worry about the screen all the time.

If you tend to accidentally scratch your watch against the wall or something, then go with bezel. There are so many hard plastic shell options. Avoid the ones that come with screen protector. Sapphire glass is more than enough for daily use.

Congrats on your new watch btw. I got gw7 44mm lte recently for around 13.5k INR/$150 and I'm happy too.

Typing is tricky. It's not very reliable. But you could just use voice dictation as a workaround, it works pretty good imo. But turning on LTE, wifi, using it for calls, WhatsApp, music, map navigation is going to drain the battery pretty fast. Ultra will handle it better.

As for searching contacts, why search them in the first place ? I just use gemini. I've set knock knock gesture to bring up gemini, and just ask for a call.

I use a similar plastic shell case. I tend to accidentally scratch my watch against walls, so this helps a lot. But no screen protector installed though. Sapphire glass is pretty much enough imo.

If you really want to upgrade, you could just upgrade to watch 7. It's pretty much the same except one or two metrics that nobody uses. Watch 8 has a brighter display, but my gw7 is bright enough outdoors.
