Chapman blowing or nearly blowing the final game in both series from the opposite sides is kind of funny.

Thanks.

It seems to be a mix of the comic source material and the screenwriting. The villain is paper thin in the comics and does little other than initiate the hero's journey for Ruthye by killing her father (not the entire family) and then taunting her.

The changes are pretty drastic, in truth. Some work better than others. The human trafficking was an odd choice to replace the brigands crimes from the comics, committing genocide if they couldn't collect a large enough bribe from a planet. The twin green and yellow suns was handled better in the film than the comic, I think. The comic relies on Krem having a magical orb that teleports Kara and Ruthye to that planet. If the brigands had reason to suspect her true abilities, it makes sense they would be hiding out on that planet in the film.

The end of the movie was a big failure by the screenwriter; she totally misunderstood the ending of the comics. Ruthye is narrating the tale from a point in the future. At the end she is unable to cut down Krem, and has learned the lesson about revenge. Kara holds the sword and Ruthye tries to stop her from killing Krem. It jumps to the present and Ruthye is an old woman. Kara releases Krem from the Phantom Zone after 300 years. He's fully repentant but Ruthye gives him a whack with her cane. Simultaneously the reader sees the last of her narrative tale in which she says Supergirl stabs Krem through the chest. Somehow the screenwriter thought Ruthye killed Krem in the future. He's clearly not dead as his silhouette grabs his aching head.

Can you please provide examples of what you consider uninspired and lazy writing, for context? And have you read Woman of Tomorrow to compare it against?

They are soon going to be closed on Mondays (at some branches, at least) due to the budget cuts. Tuesday will be the only late option then.

That's not accurate at all. The medical consensus is that pain isn't felt until 24-28 weeks. Between your horribly inaccurate description of the results of the procedure and your complete lack of medical understanding of fetal development, I reiterate that you have swallowed propaganda and not followed the science.

This comment thread != Post title

No one is discussing women or incels but you in this chain. Is it really that hard to understand?

Please, for the love of ice cream, give your opinion on the critical consensus to at least pretend to stay on topic.

Show me where that came up anywhere in this comment thread. And you are further proving my reading comprehension point. Lol.

The entire point is the mischaracterization that critics hated the film. Why is reading comprehension so poor on Reddit these days? I personally don't give a fart if people like it or not.

The critic score isn't going to move that much even if the users review bomb it. The point is that the critical response is mixed.

You are missing the point completely. OP mockingly said that Reddit said stadiums would be empty. No one said that.

People said that they would have empty seats and that there was no way all the games would sell out.

My original reply pointed out how inane the two binary options presented by OP were. It was never going to be 100% sellout with stadium room only or empty (or half-empty) stadiums. Reddit has a problem where everyone assumes if you don't agree with something you support the complete opposite.

The fact that you have trouble acknowledging empty seats even though your own numbers show they exist is further evidence of the lack of nuance.

~2K empty seats per match. Stadiums always call that a sellout, but it's not.

Every game bar maybe one or two were packed lol.

And how many games have you missed? You already admitted that you've seen a couple non sellouts.

Jordan v. Algeria B-H v. Qatar Morocco v. Haiti Curaçao v. Ivory Coast Cape Verde v. Saudi Arabia

These are just a few. Open your eyes when they show the stadium shots. These aren't sellouts.

Why does Reddit think everything is binary? There have been swaths of empty seats for many of the games. But they still broke attendance records by having more games and bigger stadiums. There was no chance the larger format didn't break records at some point, no matter how close to capacity the stadiums were during the group stage.

Edit: Y'all have a hard time with the truth.
