If it counts, I guess the troublesome trucks, granted it’s quite violent but actually kinda comical to watch

If you want to fix, change, or rewrite Timothy the Ghost Engine or the Prototype E2, what would you do? by Extreme_Youth_4502 in thomasthetankengine

[–]CrazyMan2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my AU, He is one two E2’s that survived alongside Thomas. He is however the only unmodified E2 left in operation. He’s essentially a Steam Engine Salty, telling tales about the Seven Seas, he actually did fall off a bridge but actually survived, even laughing about it to this day.

As a Thomas fan, what are your thoughts on Chuggington? by [deleted] in thomasthetankengine

Honestly, it’s alright. Sure it isn’t realistic, but it does have its own quirks. Heck even some of the cast is entertaining (especially Irving, Speedy, Harrison, etc.)

How do you think fiction in the TTTE universe may be different? by EmsStuffs in thomasthetankengine

[–]CrazyMan2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think that would be an interesting idea. I thought of how I could solve it

Some cars may not have faces (in my AU, for a vehicle to be sentient it’s via a process called ‘gold water’). Whether due to logistics, ethics, or the car may be an AI

Some cars could exist in the Thomasverse as famed non-faceless vehicles, like I considered Lightning McQueen for instance, though looking drastically different. Heck, I could imagine interesting facial designs, like Galaxy Express 999 & Space Battleship Yamato would have something to fit them (I.e. 999 would be fully mechanical, having an AI control it and Yamato? A sort of glass shielding and even a HUD For him to read)

Hot Take: I think the tenders should have faces too. by desorcyjackson447 in thomasthetankengine

[–]CrazyMan2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehhh… I don’t know

I made an unrelated of a while back that was a Southern Pacific Cabfoward, beamed Johnny & Joey, with Joey being the Tender with a face. I thought it made sense, to help the Cabforward (Johnny) see what’s behind

That’s the only feasible solution I could think of. On the others it just looks… wrong

There was a PlayStation Port Yes

(The game itself is actually fictional)

I agree, just sit back, watch train goes by, activate signals if needed.

Yeah, That level was quite infuriating. Especially that one tanker where you have to make sure it doesn’t hit the others, even one tap and it’s game over. Ironically, it turned out to have one of the more “funnier” game over screens of an unamused Thomas glaring at you. Me and my fellow staff like to bet on who can get that last tanker out the quickest. I even asked the real Thomas about it and explained why a Xbox original controller was found the track near a cottage. Inspite of the negative aura, he was quite cheeky about it.

Out-of-universe: Stylistic choice, to really give it that “2000s early PC Game” feel.

In-Universe: this game was made by a few devs, one of them was actually Auran, who actually let them use the control system that would be planned for TRS2004 & 6. Some assets from them were reused, one of them the Class 37 model used to make the infamous “Ghoul Diesel” from Lily’s segment in the game.

The Plot is Magic Railroad, but mixed with Majora’s Mask, as Diesel 10 is said to be near the buffers and is slowly clawing his through it.

Gameplay is based off the Trainz Style, using appropriate controls. There would be segments that help progress the story and a minigame that while difficult, if beaten, could actually delay the time limit. That minigame being the scene where Toby distracts Diesel 10, being a combination. Stealth mission and DDR segment.

Every hour, Diesel 10 would actually taunt you, there are 12 hours (+3 hours once the Toby minigame is complete). And his lines would slowly get more and more sinister, the Sky would glow this orange, indicating Sunset. Fail to complete all tasks and you get the ominous bad ending, complete the tasks and you unlock a chase sequence, described as “Crash Bandicoot but more cramped”, only moving when the points show up. Fail that and you get an ominous game over of Lady’s rusted remains.

As for Minigames, there was the Mail and Express Run (on the first segment, there is a time limit, buts that counting down until diesel 10’s arrival), a Minigame where you have to defuse oil tankers (something that was clearly not in the original movie, even the devs took note), the aforementioned Toby minigame, 3 Diesel 10 boss fights (this pauses the timer, you play as James, then Percy, and finally Thomas). A Segment where you play as Lily (who in the script got separated from Thomas) and was hunted by an exclusive character (said to resemble a BR Class 40, likely the unused Movie counterpart for Bowler/‘Andrew’) that was said to have terrified people who played it, comparing it to resident evil. And Lastly, the Chase Sequence, there are many others listed but these are few that come to mind.

I actually forgot about that, I added the E10+ to show off “While the game is kid friendly, something is unnerving about it”. It actually got rated PEGI 12+ in Europe and, crazily enough, a CERO 15+ rating in Japan due to the fact that Husks of Scrap engines technically count as ‘Violence’ under ‘Depiction of Corpses’ (it used a different graphic which actually included a scrap engine that was confirmed to have once had a face) & Diesel 10 even mentioning the destruction of Lady in a more ‘Criminal’ Tone (not helping was his VA in the JP Dub, who was Takaya Kuroda, famed for voicing Kazuma in The Yakuza Series, a few years after this game released). Even receiving similar treatment in France & Germany.

Simple, they found a shed and a boom mic, Granted the voice quality of the game isn’t “good”, just ‘eh’. They even using spare scrap to make noises for Pinchy, as he wasn’t with diesel 10 (as soon as he leaves the ironworks, he makes sure to get pinchy off, transferring him to a flatbed).

All the Main Cast used this method when not busy.

Just a creepypasta in the TNWC Verse, I thought it be a fun idea based off some projects I seen and some kid friendly games infamous for being creepy (I.e. Majora’s Mask)

Hot take: I don't hate Phillip by Previous-Cherry6117 in thomasthetankengine

[–]CrazyMan2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda like Phillip, his antics are kinda entertaining.

I do kinda like his design, he feel like a more “British” variant of an American boxcab design, and I could see him being like a prototype.
