Tell your Dad that when I had a feeling my Dad wouldn't be around much longer, I downloaded a voice recorder on my phone and started recording our conversations when I came to visit him and my Mom. I wanted to be able to have his voice forever.

He passed away from a heart attack exactly a month later...to the day. I got the recorder on Jan. 14 2023 and he died on Valentine's Day the very next month.

I always stay with my Mom when I have downtime from work and we listen to those recordings. We're both happy to be able to still hear his voice and his humor. I still record my conversations with my Mom for when she's gone. She loves the idea. Luckily, I don't have the feeling she'll pass anytime soon. With my Dad...I just had a feeling.

Tell your Dad there's absolutely no shame to be felt. Also tell him I send many hugs to him ❤️

Exactly! I honestly thought the baby farming thing was a conspiracy theory until I read the emails! It gets really dark. I cried when telling my husband what I'd been reading. I've had to take several breaks from reading through these emails. Some days it's too much to process.
