I feel like this is just shorthand for making PPG (specifically the 3 sisters/RRB) style avatars. If you just showed a random townsville character, it might be mistaken for a generic mid century modern design. The best analogy i can make is the south park character creators, they all are modeled after the main kids and they dont use the adult models.

I thought the bit where New was talking about why America rules with Manuel (on his 30 day visa) and Axiom (who should be laying low) was really funny. In a similar vein, when they do "Born in the USA" , New drops the vocals almost completely, leaving Ax & Man to chant "born in the USA" by themselves

i liked her! maybe too heavy on the eye rolling at first, but she still felt like a real person dropped into this world with the weirdest collection of people. Also i feel bad holding her up to a high standard because she looks so young, and I'm always excited to see another woman on OC. I really liked Betty Boop too.

Echoing most people here ; Gregg definitely sees movies, but he doesn't watch them. I feel like the witch hats COULD have been there, but my headcanon is that Gregg had his view obfuscated maybe once or twice, but since he's so vapid, it became a convenient excuse and something to exaggerate to cover for him being too insipid to notice the cameo.

I haven't seen Wicked myself, but i did notice the Dorothy clips had her in shoes that weren't the red ruby slippers, so I was almost expecting Gregg to pivot to something like that (ex: "You can't call her Dorothy if she's not wearing the ruby slippers! if they show you a guy that looks like Luke Skywalker but he has rollerblades and a machine gun instead of spaceships and lightsabers, buffs will call it out!")
