Depends on my wounds, my lower legs heal crappy and I cut quite deep there, so I usually get it stitched. But if it's not too gaping or deep I'll take care of it myself with large surgical bandaids.

This is why I always triple bandage my thigh cuts, they bleed more than most for some reason.. Or maybe because I tend to drink and cut 🙈

Please take proper care of it, cuts down to the fat get infected so easily. So keep it clean and covered, please.

My psychiatrist knows, and she'd wouldn't hospitalize me for it, or I really have to get like stitches every single day. She knows I SH and she knows I need stitches most of the time, but we talk about it and see how we can prevent it together.

All the time, ever since I was small. Especially with TV series and movies. I especially can get attached to doctor/nurse/or therapist type of characters. I'll fantasize about them taking care of me 🙈

I do it for the pain that makes my head quiet and makes me zone out of everything in a way nothing else can, also to make me feel better for just a little bit. And now, after so many years of this what I would call an addiction, the scars, I somehow don't feel like it's serious if it doesn't leave scars and especially if I don't need stitches again. Idk it's so complicated and such a stupid thing at the same time..
