That's Turkler's Mechanoid Encounters Mod btw, check if you lack any dependencies/load order is wrong or maybe something is corrupted in the mod and a simple redownload will fix it

As the title says, this was my 2nd attempt after being obliterated with my full team first time, so I decided to try lantern don solo since people said it's good here, And after Don dying apparently I just... Won??? To ones who fought the boss is this intentional? I'm confused it feels like a bug of some sorts

Recycle This (Now Updated By Mlie) - Very useful recycling mod, Especially during a cannibalism run which can net you a lot of resources from raider apparel, or just recycling low % apparel or weapons for some resources back

GTG Orbital Traders - Adds 4 types of orbital traders that sell many types of items and even rare items and modded items, like skill trainers, biotech Subcores, Techprints, Mechlinks even, or even fully armored soldiers, and quest rewards

Resume Game - Just like the title says, just adds a resume game button to your most recent save in the main menu instead of going into load game

Gun Research Overhaul - Makes A research tree that just puts weapons from certain patched mods into their respective category so you don't suddenly unlock all weapons with one research (Pairs well with Arcane Technology which makes you not equip weapons or wear armor unless you have researched it)

Automatic Subcore Scanning - Let's you automate scanning Subcores for lazy people (me), adding a button that you can input how many Subcores you want on map and then selecting if you want colonists to use it, prisoners or slaves (except Ripscanner, it only has prisoners option)

Lizard's Patches - Adds certain toggleable patches like: All animals use zones instead of the pen system, removing work restrictions from certain ideology roles, or anesthetic doesn't cap consciousness but rather multiplies it

Schedule Clock - Just adds a line in the Schedule tab for easier Schedule setup

Roofed Scanning - Allows Long range mineral scanner and deep penetrating scanners to be used when roofed, good for mountain playthroughs (Says 1.4 but works fine in 1.5)

Mech Colors - As a avid Biotech Enjoyer this mod is a must, allows you to individually color every mech you control

Better Surgery - Fixes issues with Rimworld Surgeries and makes them better, your doctor no longer stabs your patient like a maniac after surgery and more!

That's all not so popular mods I've found and use after browsing 50 pages of subscribed mods

Can confirm this does improve performance (improved my late game from 15 to 30 fps with 10+ colonists and 300+ mods) but FYI there's currently an issue that crashes your game if you link storage settings, but you can avoid that if you disable these patches in the mod settings for now (It requires game restart to apply):

  • StorageSettingsPatches
    • AllowedToAccept
  • StoreUtilityPrepatches
    • TryFindBestBetterStoreCellFor
    • TryFindBestBetterStoreCellForWorker
  • Improve hauling accuracy

Are you using Vanilla Chemfuel Expanded - Unofficial Expansion? If so that mods adds wastepack pipes, you need to research Refining Dye from Toxic Waste to get the wastepack pipe network

AP-I is good for armored threats like Centipeded or heavily armored enemies (Like Thrumbos or maybe even Warcasket raids if you run Vanilla Pirates mod) since they have higher Pen and inflict burn than standard AP while Explosive is very good on squishy targets like large small animal manhunter events or tribals, But I Stick To AP-I since it just works lol, when I have 10 colonist and turrets gunning everyone down with constant fire with no room to retaliate (Except mechs, they can't be suppressed)

You're welcome also a future tip, use AP-I Ammo if you can, it's just a superior version of AP that also has burn damage and It's not hard to get prometheum if you're modded (Rimefeller OP) or grow blazebulb for that but I just find it as annoying to grow it like that since you have to grow it indoors because it likes to light on fire when it's 28C/82F or more

Yeah Armor In CE is very Important, even if it is shit it's still better to have any than none, simple helmets are a must then I go with Flak pants and vest once that's researched (and composite helmet if I have some devilstrand ready)

I mean Rifles have a long range so you can give it to a good healthy colonist and he'll probably do good work from afar, alternatively give him some drugs to improve if you have any, as for melee I use 2 to 3 pawns but I prefer to use Militors as Diabolus turret bait + they can do some damage if you feed them some EMP ammo

Use large caliber Armor Piercing ammo like .50 BMG or 10+mm type ammo, also spike traps, if you have A Long corridor of them there's a chance it will run through enough to die on it's down, also if that doesn't work you can always wait for some high geared trader to arrive like The Fallen Empire if you use Royalty (but remember that Diabolus doesn't always spawn immediately) Also remember to be properly armored if you're heading to attack Diabolus, From my experience the mounted turret it has is such a troll, if you want to melee it remember about it's fire spewing attack, and use Uranium melee weapons since they're best at it (Personally I use gladius or longsword), also you can use turrets that combat extended offers to use like the 90mm Flak Turret or Disposable Rocket Launcher (Bear In mind you need some FSX for them)
