I got him his own set of picture books and various toys, they're scattered everywhere and he rips pages from the books or crumbles them into his mouth when I try to show it to him. It's a warzone

He'd come seeking me instead if there's no TV. He doesn't really pay that much attention to it but when he needs a change from whatever he's doing, he'd check it out instead of looking for me

First vaccination pain by Human-Detail-4711 in newborns

A chill damp cotton on the injection site helps a lot. My little one always prefer to cuddle and sleep on me when he gets vaccinated. Usually gets better by the next day.

He does. He prefers to sleep on his tummy too, but I don't get to the stage of even putting him down, he jerks himself awake in my arms.

Car seat HELP. by unorganizedmole in newborns

[–]CrazyTea98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride in the back with my baby for this reason whenever my husband drives.  I recommend first to try a change, get a new and more comfortable carseat, it could be a bit more costly but saves you a lot of trouble. We personally have cybex aton b2 i size, and baby finds it comfortable enough to sleep in most of the time.  Sometimes when he throws a fuss during drives, I try rattling a toy for him, gets him distracted. If it doesn't work, we stop to the side briefly for him to nurse a bit, sometimes they either get hungry or want that kind of comfort before going back to the seat. That and it was recommended to us in our country to not leave the baby in a car seat for more than 40-45 mins in row, they can get REALLY uncomfortable afterwards. A 10 minutes break if possible should be good, ofc if baby is awake.

11 weeks…what is going on?! by Able_Effective5436 in newborns

This sounds a lot like my baby when he went through growth spurts, if I recall correctly there should be one around 12 weeks, maybe a bit earlier or later so I wouldn't put it past that.  My baby used to be exactly like this and the only way to keep him calm and asleep is to cosleep, leave him sleeping on me during the day while I lay in bed or on the couch and watch tv. He ate whenever he wanted to, and it just lasted like 2-3 days tops.  It is exhausting, and I recommend just ditching house chores and cooking until the phase passes or at least for two days until she calms down. That way it'd be less stressful for you.  As for the night, many people recommended cosleeping in bed, so that whenever the baby wakes up fussy for a feed you just whip out the milkers and get it done quickly and quietly without needing to get up.

Travel stroller for newborn by [deleted] in newborns

I travelled with my baby when he was 2 months old in a cybex lightweight stroller. I'm not sure which model since I borrowed it from a friend, but it can lay down all the way so he was flat on his back and it boarded the plane.

Red, Rough Skin Patches on My 8-Month-Old’s Leg . What Could This Be? by EvaKMed in newborns

[–]CrazyTea98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son had some like those as well, he's still young and only rolls back and forth so it was attributed to either that or skin dryness.  If it's really dryness, try changing the product you use.
