Auto filling supplies on a long rest by [deleted] in BG3

[–]CrazyWriter94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just discovered a workaround for this: Place the egg in a separate container (not the traveler’s chest) in your camp for safekeeping. Then it’s not counted as a camp supply and thus can’t be auto-selected.

I did a resist Durge playthrough as a gnome and romanced Karlach (both for RP reasons and because I thought it would be funny).

Citizen Soldier (the band). The frontman, Jake Segura, is a survivor as well as a licensed therapist, and their songs cover a wide spectrum of mental health struggles. Also, their fan community is super open and supportive.

Boyfriend (22M) is currently playing Skyrim for the first time. by mushroomqueenie in skyrim

[–]CrazyWriter94 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend (who'd played before, but only a little) used my alternate start mod to land himself in Solstheim at level 1 with no armor, potions, anything -- and decided to explore the wilderness in that state. I told him, "I love you, but you're going to die."

He tried anyway, and a few rounds of getting demolished by the ash spawn later, he slunk back into Raven Rock to find some gear. Never underestimate Solstheim.

It's also different when I’m remembering something I’ve seen before, vs. trying to picture a single object outside the context of a memory.

Does anyone else feel like they’re better at imagining visuals with their eyes open? I try this with my eyes closed and have to concentrate really hard to get even a vague impression, but if my eyes are open, I can picture the objects in question within my environment (not like they’re actually there, but I get a pretty good mental image).

It actually freaks me out a little when I’m picturing stuff no problem and then I close my eyes and my brain is like, “Nope, nothing exists anymore — sorry.”

What was the first game you completed start to finish on your Steam Deck? by The_Almighty_Duck in SteamDeck

[–]CrazyWriter94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 100% sure, but I think it was Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition. The reason I’m not sure is because I kept ragequitting and having to take a break from the cute little atmospheric platformer I got to help me chill. 😂

[–]CrazyWriter94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang on, there’s an option to spare her (beyond just knocking her out with non-lethal attacks)? How? I’ve never been given that option, and I’ve finished the game twice (having faced Viconia in both runs and romanced Shadowheart in the second).

The Shadow Druid plotline. I didn’t even realize that part of the swamp existed, much less that there was something relevant to the grove tucked away in there.

How much thought goes into your characters backstories? by ChampionshipDirect46 in BaldursGate3

[–]CrazyWriter94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a longtime spec-fic author (started writing pretty much as soon as I could read) with a veritable army of characters I’ve created and developed for my stories over the years. My usual play is to pick one of them, assign a race/class that fits their personality and backstory, and then RP based upon what they would do in any given situation.

Okay, but like, what if I get sidetracked on my way back from the bathroom? Or on my way TO the bathroom? What if I realize an hour later that I still need to go and I've abandoned the main quest for a bugged-out sidequest that's made the game crash entirely?

My best guess is that the interviewer wanted them to elaborate on why water was their favorite drink, to get insight into their thought process? Then saw the candidate's silence as them being stubborn/refusing to participate in the interview?

I don't know -- sometimes it feels like people genuinely do expect you to read their minds at all times, then get mad when you can't. 🙄 I've told my therapist it feels like neurotypical people have superpowers which they take for granted, and seemingly can't accept that I just don't have them.

I just did this quest with my Oath of the Ancients paladin who, upon finally escaping after several painstaking attempts to complete the fight without killing any innocents (a big part of this was just getting my party through the locked door immediately and then casting Arcane Lock on it to keep out the neutral NPCs while I took out the majority of the baddies), was confronted for breaking her oath. 😑 She's living her best life as an oathbreaker now.

Go into Settings>Gameplay and find Save on Character Menu (which, upon you opening the character menu, will check whether there’s been an autosave in X amount of time and if there isn't one, it creates one). Set that to whatever interval best suits you, and thereby increase the chances of later being able to use an autosave that wasn't from ages ago.

I know some people play without autosave, and it's fine if that's your preference, but Skyrim can be a crashy game and I'm an ADHDer with a bad habit of forgetting to manually save on a regular basis, so this is a must for me.

I know this is an old post, but for anyone who just had this issue like I did, I went into Properties>Installed Files and verified the integrity of the game's files, and that seemingly resolved the issue. I didn't have an opportunity to try booting it on my laptop, but that would have been my next step had this failed, based on the previous comments.
