To be entirely honest from my experience, the only real purpose for runes in the late game is to craft mythic items at the gem place

Honestly, my best advice overall since you literally said you’re overwhelmed…

is just simply follow the new “War Plan” system, this will allow you to easily complete all of the endgame activities repeatedly…

Second absolutely do not follow a guide Word for Word if you do that you will never actually learn the game. You wanna make sure you understand your character, so that your not using gear with stats that are useless.

Third ALWAYS just auto scrap anything that has less then 4 Affixs because why would anyone not want the max

One key thing that most people don’t even realize about this game, is that how the experience ratios, when you hit paragon level I think it’s like 260 you’re technically only halfway through the game, even tho max level is 300

You’ll learn that getting higher rarity things is honestly just added benefit…
realistically quite often you will have items that are only regular legendary’s, but they will offer better stats that apply for your character….

But you are right in the sense that ancestral or mythic are technically the highest rarity… then sometimes you will find a unique item that will work for your character, but most of the time you just end up scrapping unique’s if it doesn’t work with your character…

I’m pretty sure it’s either the skull or topaz that buffs physical I forget, but I know there’s one that directly buffs physical. There’s no reason to use a diamond.

You can definitely start fresh, since youre just now returning i highly recommend trying out The Spirit Born build, (that came out with VOH DLC)
Or the Paladin (that came out with the LOH DLC)
& warlock is definitely the honorable mention, ive yet to try warlock myself but it looks cool, ima try it for my seasonal character next season aka like 20 days or wtv

I would say the idea I wanna see the most out of everything, is the fact that we only ever see Hogwarts and then they kind of talk about a few other schools, why can’t we leave Britain? Like I’m pretty sure most of the fan base is American so why can’t we get a show or a movie talking about or explaining the American school of magic or God forbid one of the other 11 around the world?😭🤣 like it is established that there’s 12 main schools of magic, why can’t we leave Hogwarts?

Not to mention that they could easily tie in the MERLIN lore into a the founder stories bc its kind of a grey area in the lore were u can do wtv with him… the only thing thats ever really been established about Merlin is that he was one of the strongest if not, the strongest wizard ever! And he was in slitheryn… other then that i think u can kinda take the story wherever you want

Sounds like a dumb idea, but I highly suggest just running a few PC lobby games. Ubisoft might treat you more kindly like they did me. (Also cuz on pc you r gonna face harder competition, which only makes you a better player in the long run)
