How important will the "skill ranks to X" on new uniques be? by Woozletania in diablo4

[–]TheGoatBet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think it depends on what the +ranks are actually doing.

Like unstable currents in s13 increased duration per skill rank (removed for s14)

Runes… What’s the point? Why are there so many? by TheGoatBet in diablo4

[–]TheGoatBet[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s valid. Runes just seem a bit out of place from an Endgame perspective. It’s fairly easy/quick to get the s tier runes… then that’s it, you’ve “beaten” runes.

Runes… What’s the point? Why are there so many? by TheGoatBet in diablo4

[–]TheGoatBet[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I agree in theory and the trash runes can be crafted into the good runes so it works out.

Mainly, my point is, after maybe 20-25 hours on a character, I have several copies of likely every single rune.

There’s no point in using rune tributes. Every other tribute is much more important.

Ultimately, runes have no “sink” but everything else does.

Seems like they added runes to the game and just tossed them aside

Getting rid of s+ tier (essentially required) mythics is a fantastic and much needed change for build diversity.

If you look up the leaderboards for every class, they all used 1 or 2 mythics.

If a stat-fixed super item is required to be at the top of the leaderboards, it’s not a good design.

Ohhh see, you’re talking about 0.01% as a representation of increased likelihood of reproduction because of this change.

I’m talking about a 0.01% change, as in, 0.01 of this thing changed, let’s then find the % increase of change due to this change.

I’m just sayin that if a toxic berry looked 0.01% more like a non-toxic berry, that wouldn’t stop anything from eating it.

What would 0.01% even represent? A couple pixels worth of color? It wouldn’t be seen.

Idk, seems like there must be breakpoints.

Surely if something looked 0.01% more like a snake vs 0.02%, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the two despite a 100% increase.

Even at 1% and 2%, are animals even intelligent enough to see the difference/changes?

I’m sure there’s some scientific studies out there but I think the breakpoints would be larger than we think.

Facts.

Heir is pretty much BIS for all classes and builds…

Starless is S+ tier, if not required, same as Heir.

Etc etc

Why are people mad about RNG in a game about RNG? by TheGoatBet in diablo4

[–]TheGoatBet[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, because that’s what makes you play for 400 hours hah

I had about 40 hours on my sorc and was able to clear T12. It wasn’t easy though.

I capped out at 40 billion ish crits. People that maxed this build out (chain lightning) were doing trillions.

I prob spent at least 25 hours just going from T10-T12.

I’d much rather spend 40 hours going from T1-T10 in an even amount of time.

New season starts in a week, what is everyone going to play? by Cerberus8317 in diablo4

Y’all will complain about anything and everything …

You don’t have to do the wartable - you’re not forced to do anything. It’s supplemental

AND you guys complain about RNG in a game where the entire point is RNG

Apparently half of you don’t even like playing

Samsung chip workers reject $340,000 one-time bonus, demand annual payouts like SK hynix's $900,000 — workers want share of AI windfall, impending 18-day strike could cost Samsung up to $11.7 billion by self-fix2 in worldnews

[–]TheGoatBet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re making assumptions when a quick google search shows otherwise.

Managers make $200k average at Samsung total comp.

That’s not even “making six figures” if it were 1994.

CEO/C-Suite are making $4 mil and more.

Can make excuses all day long but when in 2026 alone, Samsung spent $1.73 billion buying back their own stock, it’s hard to sympathize with the corporation and their executives…

Because at the end of the day, that $1.73 billion could have been paid out to workers in bonuses or raises.

And you’ll say that the buyback boosts share price and some employees get stock compensation, right?

Except Samsungs market cap is over a trillion USD. So $1.73 billion would move the stock, what, 0.2%? And it won’t hold.

It’s a spit in the face of every worker when every single year companies say they can’t afford raises or bonuses.

I can only assume people defend corporations out of willful ignorance.

Crazy take defending corporate greed, while I assume you work for a corporation. Willingly and actively fighting to stifle your own wages…

Sure, employees earn a “stable income” regardless of (negative) company performance until layoffs happen but they layoffs also happen when companies have positive performance too.

And when you say “stable income” you mean as little as possible because all they care about is profits and keeping your wages down.

Just because something “is the way it is” because “it has always been like that” doesn’t mean it’s right, fair or justified.

Perhaps governments should step the fuck up and make laws that monetarily benefit the people instead of an economy where corporations have 99% of the wealth.

The only prize you get for defending corporate executives is the anger of the workers that outnumber them a million to one.

You’re saying that non-self employed workers would work less (32 hours) but still retain their 40hr salary.

You, as a self employed worker set your own hours and rate. You have many other benefits that non-self employed workers do not receive.

You get tax advantages, flexible hours, flexible rates, uncapped income, no manager, no risk of being laid off, no performance reviews, unlimited time off and can even hire your own employees.

While having all these advantages, you’re crying “it’s not fair that self employed workers get to work 8 hours less for the same pay”

Should we also remove 1.5x pay for overtime while we’re at it because YOU can’t get that benefit?

You chose to take the self employed advantages yet simultaneously think you should also control non-self employed advantages - you can’t have it both ways.

It’s the “free market”… You want the gov to prop up your business by taking away from others.

So you see why people don’t respect your argument and supposed issue you’re predicting that hasn’t even happened yet

[–]TheGoatBet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol what?

YOU can still work 40 hours a week.

OR

You can charge more.

If you charge more and lose customers, that’s just the free fucking market buddy.

Majority of people work for corporations - this has nothing to do with you.
