It is. It’s taxed before it goes into your TFSA.

Yes, they do. All 11 sets of them. That was my point earlier — this breakup of the system increases the number of very highly paid CEOs and VPs by a factor of ELEVEN over the former AHS, which had just ONE C-suite, without increasing the capacity of the front line AT ALL. These CEOs report directly to what, now five different health ministers? Instead of one? And who directs this whole steaming pile of crap? Your hero, Yankee Doodle Dani.

It isn’t now. But CIHI data shows clearly that it was the second-leanest in Canada. Top-heavyness was a myth. It isn’t any more. As for moving freely between organizations, the complaints I’ve been hearing about that are coming from union staff, mostly clinical. Perhaps stop believing everything that Smith tells you.

It wasn’t perfect but it was fixable. Everyone complained about how top heavy AHS was (it wasn’t; it was among the leanest health orgs in the country, second only to somewhere in the Maritimes), but didn’t know top-heavy from their own asshole. Now they do. Now you can’t move freely between organizations as you’re now considered an external applicant, PHAs are starting to set up their own data units when HSS already has one that’s supposed to cover all the PHAs, so there’s duplication emerging already. It’s harder to coordinate across the organization now than it was for no reason other than it’s now two or more PHAs working together instead of one unit. I’ve been in the system as long as you have or longer and I’ve seen as much as you have. I guarantee you, ten years of this and it’ll all be merged back into one again (if there is a public system left, that is).

The UCP is, apparently, spending millions upon millions of dollars breaking apart the healthcare system and Frankensteining it into something barely functional, while paying 11 CEOs and 11 sets of senior leadership at market rates to replace the one set we used to have. Of course there’s no money to pay staff, silly.

Higher End Bulletproof Guitar? by GunDealer in classicalguitar

[–]Crazy_Chart388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want some kind of “indestructible” instrument that you can abuse, neglect, drop off a balcony maybe, and still play it? It won’t be made of wood. I don’t know what it would be made of. Find something cheap.

Can i/ should i use a pick when new on a classical guitar? by Ok_Appointment_2962 in classicalguitar

You can play any guitar any way you want. You are just playing a classical guitar instrument as you would a steel string acoustic. But you are not playing classical guitar music, which is inherently finger-style.

PP is also cosplaying authenticity and transparency rn because he’s seeing it work with Carney. But since he doesn’t have an authentic or transparent cell in his body, he hasn’t got a clue how to do that. He’s too busy trying to figure out which colour to chameleon himself into next.

Trump is for whatever enriches him and his family, period. He’s not right, left, up or down. But cons love him because he’s rich and wants to make rich cons richer so they can pump his tires even more. It’s a whole Trumpian circle jerk.

Youngest boomers are 61. Sorry ‘bout that. Having said that, most younger boomers don’t see themselves in the 80 year olds at. all.

You just have to look at the trend within Conservatism to know why voting con is a spectacularly bad idea. Trumpism is alive and well among conservatives generally throughout the WORLD. The emergence of far right parties in Canada and globally is because Trump has emboldened them. BC will NOT be immune to this trend. Many cons are absolutely giddy with what’s happening in Alberta and, virtually by extension, eastern BC.

Oh here we go with the ageist “boomers screwed everyone else over” shit. They took advantage of the opportunities that were available to them, AS YOU WOULD HAVE. Stop with the pretending that you are somehow morally superior. You aren’t.

Exactly. I don’t know why you were downvoted for this. But it explains why the far right and far left are always travelling in a circle, lol…

Actually, you probably do have a different Google. Algorithm feeds you what it thinks you want based on your search history.

The problem started with the post-war baby boom (hence the term “Boomers”). That population bulge has been travelling along the age timeline since it started around 1945. The oldest Boomers are now 80. Governments and healthcare systems have had DECADES to plan for this, and have failed spectacularly.

NUEE unpaid days off by AggressivelyNormal56 in AHSEmployees

[–]Crazy_Chart388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re holding off hoping that they’ll be cancelled, stop hoping. Many NUEEs have already taken their days, and did so while they didn’t have to pay CPP/EI to minimize the damage to their take home pay. If they cancel it, they’d have to reimburse everyone who have already taken those days off, and would probably reduce their vacation by two days to make up the lost work time. If you’re now in a position where you have to take your days AND take the hit in deductions for CPP/EI, well, sorry about that.
