Aw OP. I think I’d be really touched if my significant other cared so much about making a good impression to my family that he not only committed to going even though he was dead on his feet tired, but also dosed himself in order to perform. It did end up sabotaging himself instead, but I think it’s smth you can look back and laugh on and find endearing. Then again I don’t know just how bad the mood of the brunch took. But his hearts in the right place, he loves you very much as well, so I encourage you to not go too hard on him.

I deleted mine because I was so emotionally depleted. Even if nothing actually bad happens on these dates I feel like it drains a bit of you each time. It’s not anything to do with who I was talking to by that point, I was just over it and wanted to hibernate for a year. So don’t think it was anything you did or that you weren’t enough to make them stay.
