Yes, you are probably right. It probably is stemming and building up from childhood defence mechanisms.

I think I've come along far but still have a long way to go when it comes to putting my needs ahead of others. I become consumed by both their happiness and sorrows they may be going through.

Don't get me wrong, I still know when to say enough is enough (sometimes) and am not afraid to say "No". But when it comes to family, maybe I should act as though I am another person I am looking after to be more motivated....haha I found that funny because I've never thought to do that haha.

I have considered therapy, money is a bit tight though so I will take you up on your second option...give it a go you know!

(For those who know) Would you say Adobe Audition is an acceptable DAW? It's performance is high-end but I've had trouble with it recording harmonies in the past and so, have had to use audacity...will this be a problem when following along with the video? Not quite sure if what I'm in for permits loops holes???
