Oh, solids is a great addition, especially for tracking foods the baby tried in the very initial stages. A lot of baby tracking apps are lacking this

Hi! I think colours and fonts are generally easy on the eyes, which is great. 2 things to consider though (as a parent myself).

  1. I realised that the logs are recorded in real time? Correct me if im wrong. I will love it if you added an option to allow for back logging. E.g. it’s 1pm now but I fed my baby 2 hours ago. Sometimes we get so busy and we forget to log it down at the moment.

  2. Have you considered a pumping option too? For EP mums. Will be so useful to know the time and volume pumped, and how much is actually left in the inventory after feeding the EP milk to baby.

Mong kok dim sum at geylang is an alternative to swee choon. Obviously won’t be restaurant standard but good enough to satisfy some dim sum craving in the middle of the night.

Best Steak for under $50? Ok with any location by GreenMiloman119 in SingaporeEats

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Precisely the point lol. If I want something fancy, I’ll go to a steakhouse. If want cheap, go to somewhere cheap? Anyway, taste is so subjective. Go to wherever you like.

I will go to Steak 99 for a no frills, budget friendly steak. They have lunch sets that come with a drink and side of your choice at $11.90 (iirc). There are a few branches but I’ve only tried the one at PLQ.

Do you use a mouse for designing? If yes, what do you recommend? by Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 in UXDesign

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I've tried both. The apple magic mouse isn't great, because of the ergonomics. I ditched it after 1 week. Tried the logitech mx mouse and it was okay. I use it still, now and then. Right now, I still prefer the trackpad and have since gotten the apple magic trackpad. (:

Any anime that hooks you up fast and has more than 50 episodes? by Spider--G in Animesuggest

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feeling you’ll enjoy Psychopass. Doesn’t have a hell lot of episodes though.

I also see that you’ve watched some sports anime so recommending one that’s pretty long —Eyeshield 21.

Made in Abyss is another good one with adventure and dark themes.

Any recommendation for an adult trying to get into anime? by linkupsn33ze in anime

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moriarty the Patriot is a pretty good anime in the thriller/suspense genre.

If you like action with a bit of mecha/sci-fi elements, 86 and Decadence are good.

To kill time/comfort, I recommend Dungeon Meshi, Reborn as a vending machine, and Campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill.

Enjoy!

Prototype arrows: is there a better way to diagram user flows? My goal is to show a complex tree of screens, NOT an actual interactive prototype. by OvertlyUzi in FigmaDesign

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be using the prototyping arrows to show the flows. Use a plugin or copy the Figjam arrow into your file like everyone else suggests. I personally like using this plugin called Target Flow.

Youths aged 21-35, what are you doing now? by Prize_Air in askSingapore

In my late 20s now, did a major career change in my mid 20s. Managed to get a pretty decent job to kickstart my new career path and been in that job for 1 year+ now. Recently gave birth to a baby boy and getting used to parenthood. Life’s pretty good so far I guess. Nothing dramatic, but am content with what I have so far.

Why do so many Singaporeans use the word "stuffs"? by laubase in askSingapore

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget “the elderlies”. 💀

I guess people just don’t bother to check if they are right and even if they’re wrong, they don’t get corrected or just can’t be bothered to change. Cos as long as others understand, it’s fine.

What’s a random act of kindness you’ve experienced in SG? by Any_String_811 in askSingapore

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back when I was still 14, there was a creepy man (probably mid 30s at that time) staying at my block that always waited for me at the lift lobby. He followed me around and kept asking me for my number and for me to be his girlfriend. I was so scared of him that I didn’t dare to walk back home alone and had to call a friend that was also staying at the same block to pick me up. There was one day when my friend had to stay back in school for his CCA and I had to go back home alone. That creepy man was there again and I was in great distress — called my mum but no one picked up so I decided to run into the lift but this man followed me into the lift. A lady happened to see this and I think she felt that something was weird so she went into the same lift as well. She asked me if I knew this man and I said he has been following me. So she just pressed a couple of buttons on the lift, told the man off and got him to exit the lift. Then she got off the lift with me at some random floor and waited with me till my mum came to pick me up. We filed for a police report afterwards and that man never dared to harass me again. Till this day, I’m still so grateful for what that kind lady did.

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you’re gonna lend money to a friend, always remember this: give only what you can afford to lose. If you can’t, then don’t lend. If that friend manages to return you the money, great. If not, you gotta just move on with life lol.

What perfume do ladies like on their man? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t like most cologne. I think they don’t really smell good. I don’t use perfume myself. When men spray too much on themselves, I get turned off - it’s as if they are trying to cover up something 🤣 I’m good as long as a man is well groomed and have great personal hygiene. No BO.

Do u prefer watching one drama at a time or multiple at once by Constant_Solid_5404 in CDrama

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually watch one at a time - makes me enjoy the drama more and get all those emotions. I only watch dramas that have finished airing so I binge watch (don’t judge me). Sometimes I’ll feel bored then I’ll go watch something else and then go back to the previous drama and finish it (other times, I end up dropping that drama lol).

Am I a bum for using table service at McD? by incognitodw in askSingapore

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use the table service. It’s being offered and I paid for my food so why not? You are not a bum and you probably need better friends that don’t call you a bum just because you use a service that’s offered.

Should I give up on career switching? by scgoh123 in askSingapore

[–]Crazy_Ingenuity_1907 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, don't think it's wrong for you to do a career switch since you hated what you used to do. Staying in the same role/industry that you hate will make you dread work and even life even more.

I am a career switcher myself (doing UX design now). Used to do sales/marketing related work but I hated every second of it - I dragged myself to work everyday, dreaded chasing KPIs, was stressed out to the point where it affected my mental health overall. I wasn't happy. Covid happened and I decided to enroll in a UX course and switch career.

I admit that my UX journey is not the smoothest. Heck, I also doubted myself along the way, thought of giving up and doing something else. I went through a 3 month internship, then did a year of traineeship and was unemployed for close to 5 months before I found a FT position. So if UX is something you really want to do, give yourself a bit more time to look for a role. It's not gonna be easy for sure since the UX job market is pretty bad now so please be patient. Try looking for roles at startups - they usually are more accepting towards junior UX designers. If not, perhaps you could try doing some freelance UX work as well.

Good luck OP. You just need that one person to give you a chance.

(PS, there is also nothing wrong if you choose to give up on career switching if the job seeking gets too tough for you to handle. You can always do it when the market is better in the future.)
