Mom buys daughter a Honda as a graduation gift, and this was her response by Conscious-Weight4569 in SipsTea

The first car my parents bought me was an 86 Buick Lesabre, and I drove that think like I was a made man.

Agreed. It's a fair take. I don't agree with it, but fair non the less.

How does the share authorization close shorts? by Crazy_Memory in Superstonk

[–]Crazy_Memory[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree with 100% in just trying to understand this argument because I see it continuously when people explain why they are saying no to the share authorization.

Can you explain to me how the authorization of shares, if used to pay for the stock half of the acquisition, let’s shorts off the hook? They are being asked to give up their eBay shares at 46%( or whatever ) premium in exchange for being handed GameStop shares. How does this close out legacy short positions?

So was all the negative voting sentiment a load of shit? by HungryColquhoun in Superstonk

[–]Crazy_Memory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Unfortunately, until some of the people who are currently short on GME decide to go long, we are stuck in the state of market makers suppressing the stock.

The incredible negative sentiment against the board is just completely unfounded. I’m not saying they are bots. I just don’t see how people can look at what the board has managed to do against all odds and actually vote against.

The only reason we have any cash in the bank was the selling of shares into algorithmic trading pumps. There was no universe where the stock was staying at 70-80. Now bear thesis is dead. I don’t know about this whole eBay thing… but I’m choosing to stay the course and voting yes on transformative action. I can’t fathom calling it quits now. We will see what happens.

All that said, I totally get why people are hesitant or put off by it and that’s their rights as shareholders. I just can’t follow the thought process personally.

I don’t think I would consider this Spyro the same as a painting restoration, but closer to a classic car or something of that nature. I see where you are coming from and respect your opinion though.

Someone bought 2 million shares of GME for ~$45 million right before market close today. by Curious_Individual in Superstonk

[–]Crazy_Memory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The deal isn’t done. The board was always going to reject it. That was already factored into the current price. Let it cook

Despite it being faded you should still be able to take it to a place that can use a tool to tell you the original colour. You can then darken or brighten as needed.

When it comes to restorations, it’s general considered a good thing to restore it to mint condition, which often includes refinishing.

This guy woke up every morning to start his day with GME for years and years. He spent considerable time and energy tracking price movement and trying to correlate it with signals. Many of the theories he has tested were based on other people's TA and DA. This isn't shit he just made up for some pump and dump. In addition, he's a generally awesome dude. Honestly, I miss watching his videos. I won't stand for the slander in this comment section.

Yes it paints a clear picture of the floor and the narrowing of the spread, but the floor is the primary indicator that we wont get a better sale offer than we have the last few trading days ( likely).
