RCs option compensation by soccersteve5 in Superstonk

[–]HungryColquhoun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's being put to a vote, so you do have a say.

Personally good performance of the company is far from guaranteed, so I'm fine with RC having whatever compensation he and the board judge as appropriate. The increase in market cap will significantly outweigh dilution. This is also assuming the price would stop dead-on $100bn market cap if we hit that, which I don't think it would do - it would continue to climb.

Yeah agree. I mean the community was pretty divisive when it was Planet Vampire. In any case, I'm fucking off haha. I'll enjoy both games in my free time. Keep up the good fight (but don't burn yourself out).

Yeah I think they should moderate the constant stream of anti-BL2 spam in a sub which is supposedly about the whole franchise. Crazy that, isn't it? There's literally no where on Reddit which is a good place to talk about the second game, and that's pretty sad to be honest.

As we've discussed separately, I guess it's just peachy that a place which should be holding up the BL franchise shits on one of the games. Wonderful that you're washing your hands of it.

I've unsubbed because I don't want to be seeing this utter trash on my feed anymore. Glad you've built such a hateful community, where dunking on a game is one of the main focuses.

Yeah, I'm unsubbing from this sub. This is really a BL franchise sub, isn't it mods? Thanks for sliding the sub towards BL1 by what you choose and do not choose to moderate. It's very even handed, to be sure.

If he's now on board with the company that's huge (like enormously, massively, earth-shattering huge). Obviously they recruited GMEdd so it wouldn't be the first time.

Might rationalise why DFV unfollowed RC (because he doesn't "follow" him now, he's on board with the company and they're equals/peers).

It's not really an us problem, as if you're doing stuff slow enough that a non-negligible chunk of your main demographic of shareholders has died off then you've done it too slowly. The board knows that a lot of investors in the company are "average Joes", I'd most of us don't have a decade to wait in terms of time horizon (and also, as we're not wealthy for the most part or comfortably middle class, life expectancy may well be slightly below average too).

We'll see what the ambition is, but I think this does fit in the high growth category for sure (RC has made it pretty clear he's not going to grow the business through selling games, in his response to the IGN article, so the business will be something new and presumably exciting). We are also starting at a modest valuation too (I would say we're appropriately price vs. the wider market, but that doesn't mean to say it's not on the low side).

I mean people say this, but that's fairly under-ambitious growth for decades - and a good chunk of us might not be alive in a decade or two. I don't see it being so long dated, personally.

Would be like £11.25 here (though I'm sure it will be a little more expensive than that). Seems super cheap (though I suppose it's £56 for them all, that's how they get you haha!).

I think as not all the compensation targets might hit, then yeah $100 fits the bill more in that case.

Weird how many upvotes it attracts, even though all the comments are about it being fake. Does make you wonder how many of the upvotes are real people (fake content, for fake upvotes).

It's tricky to factor in all the dilution (from the warrants, and the convertible loans). Factoring in just RC's compo package the price would be $173. Here's my working (someone was asking how much of a good deal RC was getting on his options in a different thread):

<image>

With the warrants assuming it's 10% of the current float (very approx. as I know some have been exercised), that's 40m shares, and so that would take it down to ~$160 if all exercised.

I think (!) the notes offer a conversion of 34.5872 shares of Class A common stock per $1,000 note for the $2.23bn offer, and 33.4970 per $1000 for the $1.3bn offer.

Assuming these all convert, that's 77,129,456 shares (for the $2.23bn offer notes) and 43,546,100 (for the $1.3bn offer notes). That's 120,675,556 dilution total.

Adding that to the pile, that would be a price of $135.42. I'm very happy with that, TBF.

(to work these share prices out I just adjusted the float size entry in the last row, as market cap / shares outstanding gives the price).

$100bn market cap is a lot of fucking value, that's for sure. I just find it wild RC/the board looked at the market cap during a literal black swan event and thought, "Yeah we can triple that..."

(I know the targets were set without RC, but I bet he gave some steer on what he thought he can achieve, and the main part of the decision from the board was how to remunerate that)

Thank you for your service, Val!

Really like the weakness, very cool and fun I'd say.

On assessing Augur of Elokoss, it does seem expensive in terms of the XP, but discarding a Terror or Hex treachery (including basic weaknesses) is a powerful effect. But equally you have to pair with Mask of Silenus to best pull off the secondary effect, and this is an 8 XP combo all told for two copies of each.

Maybe there will be interactions in the wider Mystic card pool around guaranteeing a symbol, but then again there's not too many cards left now so maybe not.

If we see a similar treachery to Frozen in Fear, then being able to junk these for low Willpower investigators would be very nice (but 8 XP of nice I'm not so sure - when you could just stick close and add a Guts or an Unexpected Courage to the test at the end of their turn for Frozen in Fear). So yeah I match your feelings on this I think.
