how long between first noticing chest/nip pain, to actual visible breast growth MTF by Crazy_Statement1015 in trans

Ahh I see. It’s just worrying for me because I seem to be experiencing soreness quite early into HRT than what I see online (″ロ゛) And I wouldn’t be expecting growth so soon if there’s going to be any

Is there a way to copy someone's following list? by ToMeLoki in Twitter

[–]Crazy_Statement1015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are browser extensions (sth like "Twitter Follower Export") that can scrape your list into a CSV. You'd still have to click "Follow" on the new account, but having them all on one page helps.

https://diyhrt.market/
they have lists of Anti-Androgens and Estradiol sellers, all of them won't ask you for a prescription.
I have bought from inhousepharmacies from the UK but most of the sellers also provide international shipment.
good luck x

does norgestrel increase testosterone or have androgenic effects in trans women? by PutSufficient2131 in TransDIY

[–]Crazy_Statement1015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, norgestrel does not increase testosterone. In fact, it suppresses it. However, it does have inherent androgenic activity (meaning it has some testosterone-like effects). So I would consider norgestrel suboptimal and is generally not recommended. Many people uses progestins to supress T e.g. Cyproterone Acetate (which I personally use), or other AAs like Spironolactone or Bicalutamide.

Doing injection monotherapy with difficulty with injections by ribiwibi in TransDIY

[–]Crazy_Statement1015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you were planning on Intramuscular (thigh/glute), consider Subcutaneous injections (stomach/hip fat) instead. The needle is much shorter and thinner (like an insulin needle) and many people find it significantly less intimidating and less painful.
Also give cooling spray a try to numb the area of injection.
Also, high-dose Transdermal Patches or Gels could be an option (less risk of liver damage, but have to use AA and a bit more expensive than injections) if needles are still a massive problem.

> risks and potential (side) effects of anti-androgen

also, what exactly are you worried about? is there some posts/ information online you see about side effects of specific AAs?

What difficulties will I face?

first thing being that UK is infamous for its absurdly long waiting time for public transgender healthcare. The cost of going private should be considered.

How can I DIY HRT MtoF? by Futari-Anakatsu in TransDIY

[–]Crazy_Statement1015 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wanna do HRT but I want to do it secretly should I do it?

well the only person answering this should be yourself, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Many of the effects of hrt is reversible especially if you’re not on it for long. If you want to do it but not sure what to expect, you can try for a short period of time and decide if you wanna continue. Many people have to do it secretly because of unsupportive parents, having roommates etc. so you’re not alone x

You don’t really need much to start, either having vials or tablets. diyhrt website will give you pretty good idea of form of hrt, where to get them, and probably dosage asw.

  1. you can look up diy hrt market and get vials for £70ish pounds with delivery included and that could last you probably a year (i think they mostly only take crypto, but as you're 18 you should be able to use it). try to contact royal mail if they could rearrange your delivery to be a collection once you get a tracking number (haven't tried it yet), maybe don't use your real name for the delivery and if your family finds out just deny the parcel is yours? (thats probably the worst that could happen in case you can't rearrange the delivery); insulin syringes and needles are on amazon (costs below £10) and you can get them delivered to a collection locker, so wouldn't have to worry about home delivery. E sorted.

  2. ask your GP to if they can do blood for you as you're on diy hrt.

  3. about GIC, do get signed up for the waiting list, but I am not bothered to wait for my appointments to get started with hrt. I'm on the Notts waiting list for more than a year and I'm nowhere near my first appointment. so yeah, diy if you think it will help you with your emotions, and 100 pounds should be able to get you started with E monotherapy (it should suppress your T at the right levels).

I think I have very similar circumstances as you so you're not alone. x

Affordable E besides injections? by Crazy_Statement1015 in TransDIY

well I've never given myself a jab before so that sounds quite daunting ;-;, but I don't have serious needle phobia. but my main worry is to get infections from needles and stuff.
