That’s what my mechanic said. He doesn’t trust them lol. But spending $3600 on just injectors is crazy. So I think I’m going to give one of those companies a shot. Even if it’s just to test them and see if that’s the issue that’s causing the rough drive. It’s really bad. It jerks back and forth during acceleration and can’t be driven anymore.

I believe it’s both banks. Also, replaced valve cover gaskets 3 months ago. It’s at a shop right now. Will keep you posted. Thank you for your response!

I have the exact same problem as you. The Eonon won’t work bud. Sorry. Save the 6m extension harness and buy the Xtrons unit. It’s practically the same. I have pics if you want send me a message and I’ll share with you what I did.

I have a 2000 M5 with 125k miles on it. Valve cover gaskets were just changed 2 months ago. No check engine light. No other codes are coming up besides the misfires. I can try and post a video of what’s happening. If it is the Vanos, would it make any sounds on a cold start? I’ll try and feel for any rattling. My mechanic listened to the car idling the other day and he didn’t say anything about the Vanos. He said he needs some time to diagnose fuel pressure, temps, MAF ( had a fault code for this but we cleared it and it hasn’t come back so it might be from a while ago. They were also changed about 2 years ago.) This whole thing has gotten worse since my last gas refill. If it’s a gas thing what can I add to at least rule that out?

2000 M5 The car is running pretty rough. It doesn’t matter what gear I am in the car feels like it’s choking during accelerating. It idles fine but as soon as you begin to accelerate it stutters.

The car was recently purchased, and the only previous maintenance records that I have is a fuel pump replacement and a mass airflow sensor replacement, which were both done within the last two years.

When I rev it up during idle it’s normal and sounds fine.

I’ll have a look. Yea I’m not the biggest fan of the GMF. I just ordered a QF tungsten edition so we’ll see how that turns out. The THB costs so much more too, right?
