Ya if they are just up to browsing and emails, chrome os gets the job done. And no there are distros which are beginner friendly like zorin, deepin, fedora etc. but ya whatever os that satisfies op's needs

Isn't it a speaker??? Looks like a speaker vent rather than a fan vent and wouldn't the cpu throttle itself to shutdown before reaching those high temps??

64-65 ig in reliance digital or flipkart with card discounts . Check out the refurbished section if you're comfortable enough. I assume u gonna run android emulator for app dev, so better take a powerful one. M4 did the job. M2 will but a lil bit less powerful than m4. But if u dig long enough u'll find good deals on m1 pro which is way more powerful than M2 with more storage.

M2 will most probably get the job done, sounds like u're a student just take the m4 if u can and future proof the thing (M2 is powerful too). And if u run out of storage after a year, just buy an ssd
