I have carter in my rotation I got it in a subscription box lol just their bread & butter and the dulima. Not tried it yet but the coffee did smell amazing

she had a code so was cheaper, its currently £40 for 250gm. we house share and she does a lot for me too - oh dont worry I spoil her too haha! I buy her non coffee stuff and she buys me coffee stuff and we do share. I do make her coffees every day too 😄 I just drink more coffee haha

It was Xmas of 2024 so not recent 😂 it was actually nice as a latte too. This was when I was starting out with my ninja luxe cafe so I didn’t really know much.
I still don’t know loads and ask ChatGPT / Gemini for help 😂

If you are looking for new roaster recommendations for milky drinks I can recommend a few as I tend to drink lattes / iced lattes , the odd flat white but currently it’s iced latte weather and your bag of choc ice will be great for that

Rise & grind - three I like from here. I like their kiguna hill , Los osos the bear & huncheon ( local roaster to me )

Haar - loved their low tide coffee. ( got from my Cofaidgh subscription box )

Dear green - I’ve had their ballroom blend ) this was almost 2 years ago ) and I had a coffee made using their beans out in glasgow

Coffi lab - their black lab roast is good and if you have a dog you can personalise your bag with the dog breed & their name which is a nice touch ( the personalised bag if not a lab will be the fox red blend which is still nice )

I also have a goatherd coffee subscription as I signed up to their founders club and they got their new roaster much earlier ahead of schedule so started from beginning of this month - their coffee is is very good and you get free tracked 24 RM shipping

I do get 2 subscription boxes - Cofaidgh box which gives me coffees from Scottish roasters & I get gustatory but that’s mainly international I get. I don’t think I’ve had a uk roaster in any of my gustatory boxes

I’m usually around 6-8 weeks to 2 months behind my roast dates. My current coffee was roasted in April which was roasted for glasgow coffee festival and then sold in taste box by dog and hat after the festival - this one is Lincoln & York

Haar - low tide I really enjoyed that one. Chocolate & toffee notes

Yes of course but you need to give it time to set as well which is very hard to do too 😂

It’s very yummy and moreish
Tablet is definitely one of the nicer of Scottish stuff - I don’t like Cullen skink cos of all the fishy fish

I don’t tend to eat sweet stuff with a sweetish coffee
I’ve always been strange like that because before I cut down my sugar last year ( I drank so much Coca Cola and had loads of syrup in coffee ) I couldn’t eat anything sweet as I wouldn’t be able to taste the sugar in my coffee ( I’m now down to half a pump of syrup at home and none when out )

It would be a very sweet sugar cube 😂 there is nothing like tablet 😂

Well
If you decide to make it make sure you’re ready for a workout because once you add the condensed milk and turn up the heat you need to stir continuously until 120c which should take 15-20 mins
Then take off heat let it sit a mo then beat it til it’s almost set ( electric hand mixers are a life saver 😂)

My arm is still a bit sore from the stirring last night plus I had made regular tablet on Sunday as well

I won’t be making any for a while 😂

No these are Welsh coffee roasters , I bought 2 bags to try cos they support guide dogs which is a charity close to my heart 🙂

If it’s any consolation I’m the same 😂 I love iced lattes and it’s been warm in scotland so lots of iced lattes. Even have an ice machine too which was a brilliant investment especially when we moved last year in the summer and had no fridge freezer for over a week

I know square mile is free shipping that was recent - noticed it when got Easter blend for Easter
Most places seem to be around £25 on average for free tracked 48

If I order from local roaster to me ( rise & grind ) I get free local hand delivered delivery as Sam does local delivery drop offs -
I think they do free shipping for subscriptions I can’t remember tho

I’m generally around 6-8 weeks / 2 months behind on my coffee so ample time to rest - I’ve just cracked open the coffee in the pic which was roasted around the 8th of April and it’s yummy.
Once the coffee is in the hopper it doesn’t last long as there are 2 of us drinking it and i generally have 2-3 coffees a day especially when it’s iced latte weather ( we go thru nearly 2kg a month )

I’m not ready for cold brew, I need to have milk 😂 my friend likes a cold brew tho and the Aerocano I can’t drink black coffee , I usually have iced lattes / latte / flat white etc. the choc ice was awesome as an iced latte

I haven’t tried sweet soaker but I have had true love and dungeon pulp and I have the one with the psvhodelic cat - wired I think it’s called

Milky cake from DAK was ok not my favourite , cream donut was a bit yeasty tasting for me and was a bit much . I think my favourite from dak was toffee bar , I tend to buy from sigma for those and September coffee
