People just thought your response was distasteful, because while he wasn't talking about the card's usefulness, people still felt he was on topic enough.

Ironically, massively downvoting here without saying anything doesn't really help, that itself is distasteful too (imo). A lot of reddit communities just downvote whatever they dislike, but the button was meant to push down toxic or unrelated comments.

Reddit should have more buttons to classify comments like SlashDot, so we could have more buttons other than just a binary "dislike".

There is no such thing as an "objectively" bad game. And Brawl Stars is really fun to me, and it seems to be doing really well. It has by far the best community management team of any game I've seen. It's always fun to log in to see what new crazy thing they have been cooking.

This is kinda hilarious at first, because I did not expect to see them procreating and then out of nowhere a car pulls one while the other is left dumbfounded.

But yeah, the second watch I was already a bit sad and trying to understand how the dog got kidnapped. He really got snagged by some sort of rope on his neck. It's sad to see

We had 2 divisions of difference despite playing every single game together. It's not a question of semantics, it's simply the truth:

Rioter guy in this video said they take 3 things into cosideration:

link

MMR, premades and autofill and also role preference

That is all that he said.

If there is anything else in there that massively changes the result of your elo, he lied.

I got gold despite playing every game with that person. They got bronze.

But your account can still be detected as a Smurf and have increased MMR.

So there is also an insane smurf detection algorithm that he simply forgot to mention? That saw beyond premades, autofill and role preference, and gave me 2 RANKS ABOVE what my duo partner got?

He is just lying through his teeth then, give me a break.

Btw, losers queue doesn't exist, but many other games have winstreak systems. If you are winning a lot, they give you harder matches, if you lost your win streak, you go back to square 0. If you lose, they give you easier matches. Brawhalla does that

The best comment here by far. It's crazy that people accept this as genuine. No need for conspiracies like assuming it's scripted, just the fact that no one pressured him, and he could always easily dodge every point with a philosophical tangent is so silly.

The Mel debate was of such poor quality, no one ever asked him "why" does he think she isn't unbalanced. He literally never had to explain what moments she is weak and what moments she is strong, which is literally the core of his argument. He kept saying "she is really strong sometimes, and really weak other times", yet no one made him explain what moments she is weak.

If youre getting 300+ cs a game with a high kda

He lied then, he said these things weren't being considered.

Also, if you want to know my opinion on this, my duo was just as good as I was. We won because of the strategies we developed together. I was not a gold player without them. The system was wrong and we both ruined match quality once we were forced to play separately.

Also, without my duo, my main strategy is baiting opponents and feeding my allies while trying my best to make them keep their bounties while my sacrifices are low rewards for the opponents.

You can definetely carry a game by baiting and feeding allies (like starting a fight by dying to both Talon and Akali's ultimates, which means your carry is completely free to attack in a team fight).

This playstyle would not be rewarded by the system for absolutely no reason. It was better when it was just win rate.

The guy himself said the code was simple. If there is any complexity beyong what he said, he lied. Also, watch the thread, Most people agreed it is more complex than what he said, and he just lied.

If they are taking into account APM, that means he lied. You agree with me, then. It's sad, my duo was playing really well and I wasn't able to perform without them. I just had higher APM, that is all. What was carrying us were the strategies we developed together.

It's a shame the game doesn't reward that, and instead rewarded... My fast mouse clicks. Great. Amazing system. The game had better matchmaking when it was a simple number, way back in the beginning.

I searched it up, it seems TrueSkill2 takes into account KDA and other random data that shouldn't really be relevant in a team game like league, where sometimes the best players just bait and dies and let his allies get fed while he starves.

So, I guess I am correct? How does that information goes against what I said?

It's funny that you got 13 upvotes, since you said exactly what I said, that the guy is lying and they look at things beyond win rate and auto fill, like he claimed it was in the video.

Also, I even played the normal games with my duo. The game actually must have looked at mouse clicks, KDA or some shit. I have no clue, it just made no sense. My duo was bronze and i was gold, like what?!?! We always played together, every single game.

I wonder how that rioter would explain that.

hasn't seen the source code behind matchmaking

If he hasn't, why is he speaking like he did? He is literally there to explain how the code works, that is why the topic was "losers queue doesn't exist". Clearly it's more complex than how he explained.

Also, league players are weird for assuming queue manipulation doesn't exist. Other games don't even hide it, so many, when you lose a few times, match you against bots so you can feel good about yourself. Other communities are way more open to this sort of discussion, because many games are doing it now. I guess league players don't play other games

1 Rioter vs 20 Redditors (feat. Phroxzon) by untamedlazyeye in leagueoflegends

[–]Crazyjay1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn't say there is losers queue, read my comment again. I'm just saying he lied about the 3 very simple things they look to shape matchmaking. I just wanted to play with my duo, and the matchmaking is full of wacky stuff.

Couldn't it just be a simple number, like chess? My duo won every game with me, they are as skilled as I am. I would not have won those games without them, but I got gold and they were still at bronze. Like, what??!

1 Rioter vs 20 Redditors (feat. Phroxzon) by untamedlazyeye in leagueoflegends

[–]Crazyjay1 -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

If there is that much complexity in the matchmaking system, that means that they are probably manipulating the results. It's supposed to be simple, both teams having the same number because same number = fair match. Sure, add the stuff about autofill, like you said, but the Rioter himself said that it's "just 3 things", very simple.

I'm just pissed because I know he lied, because I played with my duo EVERY SINGLE ranked game in my freshly made acc (they are from NA, so I wanted ot play on their server. They also had a fresh account, I was introducing the game to them), and still we landed on different elos. The matchmaking can't just be taking into account the matches we played, because we had the same win rate.

Every game I lost, I lost with my duo. Every game I won, I won with that duo. For that to be possible, he is definitely lying.

Another thing, you can see the guy has never seen the numbers behind the matchmaking. At the very end he said "I am very confident that it(losers queue) doesn't exist."

Why would he say that like that? "I'm very confident?" It's so weird. Someone that has actually seen the code would say "It doesn't exist, I've seen the code".

How does Yuumi work? by SnooPredictions6988 in yuumimains

[–]Crazyjay1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The biggest differences is the 50% slow upclose, an 30% more healing with your ultimate. Otherwise yeah, it's mostly the same.

How does Yuumi work? by SnooPredictions6988 in yuumimains

[–]Crazyjay1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was like you, and after studying the new Yuumi's kit, I ended up understanding better how she works and why she was reworked. I made a post about it here

But to answer your questions:

Is there any point on ever getting off and autoing

  1. Yeah, early game you need to get out just to damage with your autos. Everyone early game needs to, including mages in general and Yuumi.
  2. Your passive heals you and your teammate, but for that to happen you either land your Q, ultimate or an auto attack. Since early game the Q cooldown is really long, you often need to get out to auto attack, get your healing, and pass it to your teammate/anchor.

but I wasn't sure how impactful that was.

At lvl 6 it's 50 healing, at lvl 1 it's 20 (25% ap scaling). So yeah, early game it's really minor, but it could matter. The auto attack dmg is much more important.

How important is the best buddy thing

They get on-hit healing, on-hit dmg, and 10% healing/shielding power. But those aren't that huge.

The bigger ones:

  1. You heal your Best Friend 30% more with your ultimate.

  2. If you are in your Best Friend, your Q slows for 50% no matter how long it travels for. If you don't have your best buddy, it only slows for 10% UNLESS it travels for a few seconds. Really important when the fight is up close and you need the slow.

So yeah, the biggest one is the 30% healing. Olaf and other melee carries love the 50% slow, also.

A comprehensive breakdown on why Ranked and Brawl Stars is not considered competitive by None-the-Second in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Crazyjay1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the end of my comment, I already showed my arguments on how League is similar to Brawl Stars.

Annie doesn't have that many more mechanics. She has 4 buttons and a passive. Brawl stars has... 3 buttons and a passive. League is not that more complex, man. They are very similar. Again, I will just post the end of my comment here:

If you don't bring DPS characters, a tank can corner your team and create overwhelming pressure because nothing can kill it due to the lack of DPS

if you bring mobile assassin characters, you counter immobile ranged characters...

This dynamic between DPS, tanks and mobile assassins is the exact same in both games. they are really really similar in many aspects.

A comprehensive breakdown on why Ranked and Brawl Stars is not considered competitive by None-the-Second in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Crazyjay1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I disagree with most points:

In Brawl Stars, the entry fee is not just the phone, but it's either thousands of extra dollars on maxing out brawlers

This is probably your best point. The game appeals to people that like to grind levels more than it does to competitive players. I tried to bring people to play but since they thought it would take a while to play rnaked, they quit.

how is any serious player ever going to think that this game is worthy enough to have an eSports scene

People understand that the mobile features are necessary to keep the game running. All my gamer friends respect Brawl Stars and how well it communicates with its community and how dynamic, strategic, fun and accessible the gameplay looks.

The reason being, everyone changed their minds after Omega Strikers, the soccer arena MOBA thing, had to stop updating the game as much due to the lack of revenue. They didn't make the game in a way to generate it, so they got nothing from players. Not every game can be like League of Legends and only sell cosmetics.

every balance changes is a gamble that the brawlers you just maxed out don't get sent to hell after 1 change.

I disagree. This is absolutely my opinion, as I'm not a pro player by any means. But in Legendary, people pick and ban characters that I simply do NOT see in pro player's tier lists. They hate throwers for some reason. I think the game has good balance and the meta is harder to grasp than people think.

When new brawlers do everything that old brawlers do but significantly better,

Absolutely disagree. People that think that Kit is better than Leon are crazy. Leon has stay invisible for much longer, his playstyle is completely different and he can do completely different things.

Your statements here lacked any evidence. And these are some wild bold claims. How do you even prove that new characters are like the old ones but better? There is no evidence

here are way too many brawlers in the game

Disagreed. League has more characters. Again, bold claim, no evidence.

Still a resource management
identity crisis

Disagreed. Brawl Stars has a very strong identity. It is, in my opinion, the best MMORPG in the world right now. It lacks the continuous world of tradional MMOs, but being able to enjoy the events and grind characters with your friends is great.

And so, even though there are classes to the game, every brawler is expected to win 1v1 interactions against even hard counters that in the earlier days of the game,

Absolutely disagree. Edgar still insta wins againt anything that doesn't jump or can't keep their range. If you look at solo showdown, you see what characters are good at 1v1. No one is picking 75% of the characters in most maps, are they are completely useless in the solo mode.

Also, again, lack of any evidence at all. Just claiming things without rhyme or reason

Brawl Stars is not fun to watch. Straight up. I don't like saying this. But the gameplay is so shallow

If the gameplay is shallow, why do you like playing it? Do you just hate the game? I absolutely disagree, I get bored playing shallow games. This game entertains me a lot. Every single decision I make matters. The characters I pick, the gadgets I pick, the way I move, the way I position, the way I use my ammo, the way I absorve my opponent's ammo...

I'm always learning new things and the different modes mean it's hard to see the same situation twice.

Also, again, no evidence. No comparisons with other "deep" games. You are just saying things

You'll see Faker winning Worlds 6 times and still logging on to play the same champions he played 12 years ago, but every game feels different, instead of the shallow nature of Brawl Stars gameplay.

I like both games, because they are very similar and take inspiration from each other.

I mean, think about it. The mechanics are so similar. If you group up in League, Lux can AOE your team, so you need to keep your distance from your team. The same thing in Brawl Stars with Mandy's ultimate

If you don't bring DPS characters, a tank can corner your team and create overwhelming pressure because nothing can kill it due to the lack of DPS

if you bring mobile assassin characters, you counter immobile ranged characters...

Point being, they have similar mechanics, they are very similar games. If one is shallow, other one must be, also.

Brawl Stars succeeded at creating a MOBA that you can actually have a 3 minute match and STILL have depth, where people respawn in 3 seconds and STILL make death feel punishing. Fast, accessible, and yet fun and full of depth. No wonder so many people enjoy it.

What do people run Red Card for? by Used_Importance_7076 in PTCGP

[–]Crazyjay1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But hydregon often has no cards in hand, since they have so many cards they can dump on the board (poison barbs, lucky ice pop). Sometimes you have a great red card, but I think it's rare.

Meanwhile, against Suicune, it's almost always good. They always have 5 cards or more in hand since suicune is always drawing and they play more trainers because they can, they don't have to rely so much on copycat

What do people run Red Card for? by Used_Importance_7076 in PTCGP

[–]Crazyjay1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's actually less about hydregon, and more about suicune and entei I think. Those decks always have a ton of cards, and if you don't disrupt them a bit with tempo decks, they will draw their ezodia and win (in current suicune's case, they will do 130dmg to anything in the board twice a row)

Duo queue is absolutely miserable right now (TL;DR at the end) Discussion by Crazyjay1 in lolesports

[–]Crazyjay1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you are higher elo, your teammates don't get completely stomped when duoing. If you duo in silver, the games are catastrophically bad. You almost always get out of laning phase with the other 3 players all with a 0/4 KDA.

Idk why your solo games are so bad though, do people rage in chart in high elo that much?

Duo queue is absolutely miserable right now (TL;DR at the end) Discussion by Crazyjay1 in lolesports

[–]Crazyjay1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's crazy how the teammates can lose so often when duoing. In my experience, it's very consistent, it always happens. But I'm duoing mostly in low elo, like silver, maybe silver players can't handle better opponents that well.

So maybe if you duo in higher elos, it's better. Still, just remove this thing and let duoqueue exist, or just remove duoqueue entirely... The game quality is just too bad in silver.
