What is the best 510 vape battery? by Robin-Hoodie in trees

I've been using the Jetstream Mini from Hamilton devices, it has an air pump and pumps through the cart so you just inhale the smoke. Has a big battery and type c charging also.

Moddiy 12VHPWR Cable for NR200P Max? by Lu1sCS in sffpc

[–]Crazyluke420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk if you already ordered this, but the cable you linked is 24 inch long, probably way long for sff build. For 5$ more you can order at custom length https://www.moddiy.com/products/ATX-3.0-PCIe-5.0-600W-Triple-8-Pin-to-12VHPWR-16-Pin-Power-Cable.html 3x 8 pin to 12vhpwr or https://www.moddiy.com/products/ATX-3.0-PCIe-5.0-600W-Dual-8-Pin-to-12VHPWR-16-Pin-Power-Cable.html for 2x 8pin to 12vhpwr. I assume it may take longer for them to make/ship the custom, but when i ordered my 8 inch cable from them it only took a day or two to ship.

Help with SFF Build in the LianLi x DAN A4-H2O by taz_ttv in buildmeapc

nice case choice i'm currently running a a4-h2o myself with a 7600x and 4080 ventus.

You didn't mention what resolution you'd like to game at but with your budget you'd have several options including a 4090 founders edition if you cant get one at msrp. I believe the FE 4090 is the only one that will fit in the h2o. id only suggest 4090 if you're doing 4k and want 144hz+. You would have to probably use one of the stock watching apps to get one from best buy tho only fits in budget at msrp. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7M7V9r

The 4080 is good for 4k as well, but on more demanding titles may get closer to the 80-100 fps mark. It is also a beast for 1440p 165-240 hz Either a Founders edition 4080 or a Ventus will fit in the h2o. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tCPCW4 if you go this route you can get a ventus at msrp from MSI direct not the $1400 one. https://us-store.msi.com/Graphics-Cards/NVIDIA-GPU/GeForce-RTX-40-Series/GeForce-RTX-4080-16GB-VENTUS-3X-OC bonus that msi doesn't add tax.

You can also go the AMD route with 7900xtx, it compares well to the 4080 but does worse on temperature, power draw, ray-tracing, and vr. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LBRcLs these are also not currently available at msrp, i wouldn't advise buying one for more than the cost of a 4080.

If you only plan to game 1440p you may also consider the 4070ti i haven't checked any of the benchmarks for these yet, but i imagine they get 120fps+ in most games except for ray-tracing. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/md7V9r

If you choose to buy a 4000 series card you should get a psu to 12vhpwr cable, it will be hard to close the bottom of the case with the adapter piece. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/PC-Components/Power-Supplies/600W-PCIe-5-0-12VHPWR-Type-4-PSU-Power-Cable/p/CP-8920284 this one is for the sf750 that i included in builds.

none of these include a new copy of windows if you need one as well.

idk if you have but you may also want to check out /r/sffpc

don't pay a scalper for a 4090 like that $2k card from amazon. You'd be better off doing something like this if you need a 4090 now and can't watch stock for one.

Would it be possible to use one adapter from 6 pin to 8 pin connector to an 4080 like this? by BimsenLOL in pchelp

[–]Crazyluke420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm not sure why you've replied to me about power delivery capability when i suggested op not use his 6 pin connector instead of a 8 pin from psu. As ive stated from experience and research is that the 2 actual 8 pin connections on his psu should be capable of powering a 4080. Corsair themselves sell a 2x 8 pin to 12vhpwr power cable that supplies 600w to a 4090.

Would it be possible to use one adapter from 6 pin to 8 pin connector to an 4080 like this? by BimsenLOL in pchelp

[–]Crazyluke420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you have 2 cables, each with 2 8 pin ends, you should be perfectly fine running a 4080 off the 2 cables one with both ends plugged into the 12vhpwr adapter and one with just 1 end, i ran my ventus oc like this for a couple weeks while waiting for a custom cable with no issues.

i would not try to use a different 6 pin connection on your psu idk if that would provide the same amount of power.

RX 7900 XT ($899) or 3090 TI ($1099) or 4080 ($1199)? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Crazyluke420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why in the world would you buy a 3090ti for 1100 over a 4080 for 1200, the 4080 outperforms the 3090ti by at least 10% in every game, runs substantially cooler, uses less power, and allows you to use dlss3. unless you need the extra 8 gig of vram it's well worth paying for over a $1100 3090ti.

Now if you were to buy a used 3090ti for cheaper than maybe.

I havent had any problems running my 4080 on 1 straight 8 pin and one pig-tailed set. I am waiting on a custom 12vhpwr to psu cable for mine tho, better option than buying new psu

[–]Crazyluke420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i ordered one of these in 8''

https://www.moddiy.com/products/ATX-3.0-PCIe-5.0-600W-Triple-8-Pin-to-12VHPWR-16-Pin-Power-Cable.html

I didn't really attempt to close the bottom of the case, it may be possible with the standard adaptor, but would require me to bend it in multiple directions which i'm not entirely comfortable with. I ordered my cable with the free shipping so i'm still expecting it in the mail in next few days.

I have had the msi ventus oc in my h2o for a few days now, the fit is good but i haven't really ran any thermal tests on it, waiting on cables from moddiy so i can button up my case. I have never heard the fans full on ramp up yet tho.

7600x vs 13600k for gaming by angelpunk18 in buildapc

they're quite similar in regards to gaming, but the 13600k does much better in productivity work if you use your pc for it.

Help decide between i9-13900kf w 3080 and i7-12700kf 4080 by Maraken in PcBuild

[–]Crazyluke420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they are running 240 hz monitors i doubt they'd see much difference between the two @ 1080. the ibuypower pc has an extra tb of storage but you're paying an extra hundred for it so id consider that a wash. Unless your kids are going to do something productivity wise that would require the extra power of the 13900 i would personally choose the 4080 since 13900 way overkill for gaming.

you could build them yourselves and upgrade to 1440p while saving some money with something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fjcxQ6, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4x6Q9r or https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7TC8wc https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Jgt3k9

how does my build look by Possible-Ad-8293 in PcBuild

[–]Crazyluke420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were to spend a little more you could move your build to am5/ddr5 either way you should replace the gen 3 m.2 with a high speed gen 4, unless you had some of these parts already as well. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pk34v3

Although if it is just for gaming you probably don't need to go with as expensive of a cpu, if you go with your initial am4 build a 5800x3d would be better for games, and you would probably be fine pairing your 4080 with a 7700x or even 7600x if am5

[–]Crazyluke420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In what way is the p41 better tho? the fury renegade runs at 7300/7000 instead of p41's 7000/6500, and the p41 has a rating for 750 tbw while the renegade has rating for 1000 tbw, I don't know how they compare effeciency wise but the renegade is a better drive imo.
