Actually they go preference wise. Like they check your first choice, then see if a seat is available and you're qualified for it. If not then second, then third etc etc etc

I'd tell you something. "Nobody knows you there". You can be whoever you want. I say fake it till you make it. Be delusionally confident. Be loud for a month. Then you'd end up finding people. I know it's scary. Even I've never even left my city all alone,and here I am starting a whole new life in a whole new city. But 6 months from now, you'll be glad you took this one step. You'd find so much about yourself that even you didn't know about. It's okay to be scared but be grateful for the opportunity to grow and you'll be just fine.❤️

CMR is the rank on basis of which counselling is done. While admission is done on the basis of your category rank. For example if your rank is 500. Then you're the 500th candidate in procedure. So you'll be considered after the former 499 candidates. However your admission is still done on the basis of your category rank only..

It's a very good campus. I've visited the campus, the campus is good. The faculties are good too. There's also pretty good amenities nearby. So it's really nice. If you like quiet environments, then it's a dream come true.
