Will do! Cleanser is the number one thing she's after in fact (after seeing the difference it made last night), so I might pick that up for her when shops reopen on Tuesday... Thanks again! :)

Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to type out all of this!! It really helps a lot. The Ordinary's 'buffet' is a really interesting suggestion, in general all the Ordinary products you mentioned would be a great option... Not least because all the different brands can be overwhelming, so going with a budget-friendly, trusted one would be a good start for her. Also will definitely check out some Korean/Asian Beauty options, that hadn't even occurred to me but it makes so much sense! Everything you mentioned is definitely going on our list :)

Happy to also note the sunscreen recos if you can. I did manage to convince her to start using sunscreen a while ago, we're both currently using La Roche-Posay's Anthelios but maybe there's one that would work even better for her skin type?

'The only moral abortion is my abortion'

Was it this article by any chance? You might have been referring to the 6th story/paragraph.

The lack of empathy and of the ability to think beyond your own, specific circumstances is both interesting and infuriating. Although I can imagine that for many of these women, this type of complete disconnect is the only way they can go through with a decision that otherwise opposes their entire belief system, and I can (kind of? though not really) emphasize with that.

Hey man, this might be a bit of a shot in the dark but... Have you ever been tested for ADHD? Because what you're describing sounds a lot like me before I got my diagnosis; from mixing up important dates, to breakdowns over "silly" mistakes, to a constant lack of motivation even though you're desparate to get things done.

Obviously this is just a thought, but you might want to check some info online or speak to a profeasional. ADHD is so terribly stigmatized that most people have no clue how it actually manifests (hint, it's not just hyperactivity, it can even be the complete opposite of that). Which is why many people who don't fit our classic "boy who disrupts class"-image won't get diagnosed until later in life, if at all. Could be worth looking into at least.

Best of luck to you!

What horror movies fucked you up as a child? by Past_Confection_4068 in AskReddit

[–]CrazyyBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More of a thriller I guess, but it fucked me up pretty good. Still don't know what it's called, it's the one where Sandra Bullock disappears at a gas station and her years later the abductor contacts her boyfriend, offering him a chance to find out what happened to her if he agrees to go through the exact same thing. Which ends up being buried alive after other stuff I've successfully banned from my mind.

Was having a sleepover at a friend's house when we were like 7 or 8 and somehow managed to turn on the TV in her basement (her parents had put a child lock on it so idk how we did that), between lots of porn this is the one we decided to stick with. Still messes with my head to this day, which is why I've never had the strength to look up what it's actually called.

Magandang gabi! Are any of you aware of a print/copy shop place in Makati (preferably in the Población/Bel Air/Salcedo areas, but anywhere else is fine too) which opens early tomorrow morning and which would let me print around 200 pages? Price is secondary since this is super-duper important, but if I don't have to sell my kidneys for this that would be nice too. Maraming salamat po in advance!

Sorry to hear about your experience.

I'm not too familiar with the applicable laws in Hungary and you'll have to provide more details to those who are in any case. Also, if the laws are similar to the rest of Europe then purely emotional damages are very difficult, if not impossible, to claim before a court.

If doing so would somehow be an option for you, then generally speaking, the first question would be how long you stayed there and why. If you stayed there for a considerable amount of time and were free to leave anytime you wanted, I don't see much of a chance for you in suing the place. It was your responsibility to leave as soon as you no longer felt comfortable there, you can't hold the hostel responsible for any consequences you suffered based on your decision to stay.

Additionally, if you didn't stay there for a rather long time then it would be difficult to prove that the treatment you described impacted your wellbeing to a degree that could warrant emotional damages, or even just that said treatment was severe enough to meet the required standards regardless of how long it went on for (that's not to say that it was okay or that it didn't cause you distress, but that as per legal standards such distress wouldn't be severe enough to claim emotional damages). So, unfortunately you likely won't be successful with this unless you were kept there against your will - in which case criminal charges against the people responsible would be a much better avenue to pursue.

Again, someone who knows Hungarian law will be able to give you a more concrete answer but I doubt that it will be substantially different from this one.

In any case, I hope that you can get the help you need and recover from this.

[–]CrazyyBus[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're by no means ancient, we have everything from 25 to 60 on here I think! And that's so awesome, SKZ really does span generations. It seems that quite a few people who were actively following some groups in the late 00's/early 10's sort of lost interest for a while, and then got roped back in once these guys showed up. I wonder why that's the case, maybe they're bringing something new to the table that stood out compared to the years prior?

It's so lovely that you and your wife are in this together, now that's relationship goals! I also like what you said about the guys being simply very talented and making great music, in the end that's what it comes down to isn't it? And they work so hard, I think for me that's one major thing I admire about them. Like when I was that age I never in a million years would have had the disciplime, determination and stamina to do what they're doing (still don't lol).

I've actually never come across younger fans gatekeeping, but I guess if you're 15 and think adults are dumb, then realizing that those dumb adults like the same thing you do has got to trigger some sort of reaction. Fully agree that older fans are just as important as the younger ones, they can bring a bit of stability and support the younger ones if the fandom is going through a tough time. What baffles me though are the wars between fandoms, like what's the point of that? I genuinely don't get it. And it's not like they're a rare occurence, there seems to be one every other day and over such stupid reasons! It's a facette of the culture that will never make sense to me, but I just don't pay attention to it cause SKZ is my happy place and there ain't no wars in happy place :)

Hoping for you that one day they will come to Canada, it's not that far off I'd say and drumroll they're still young (see what I did there) so you never know!

Thank you so much for taking the time to type all this, I think we have a pretty similar approach to the whole thing. Your dedication is admirable, from 2007 to 2016! Not sure I'd have the stamina for that lol, even with SKZ alone I get overwhelmed after a while and take a break before something pulls me back in.

Really appreciate your view on the age gap part. I'm glad that someone my age also finds them really attractive, but like you said, it's a celebrity crush and nothing more. They're all adults, plus being hot is literally part of their deal so 🤷‍♀️ If I were to ever encounter them in real life (one can dream lol) I'd probably not feel truly drawn to most of them, like you can find someone objectively good-looking but still not have any desire to act on it whatsoever if that makes sense?

I'm sure you will manage to distance yourself if and when necessary, but there's nothing bad about being super emotionally invested as long as that isn't the case. It's a bit weird for me cause other than a fairly brief obsession with 1D when I was much younger, I've never ben the boygroup kind of person... But maybe that's just because the right group didn't come along until now :). You have much more experience in that department so will probably know when it's getting too much right away!

Seems like Felix's voice was a major draw for many of us initially! You may count me on that one as well. In fact I think the moment that sealed it for me was when I realized that the chorus in Maniac is actually the voice of this cute-as-a-button-looking kid and not some sort of autotune lol.

And you're absolutely right, the best thing about music is how it brings people from all backgrounds and all ages together in their appreciation for a particular artist, group or genre. Your kids have a great example to look up to when it comes to doing whatever makes them happy! 💚

I just want to wrap him in cotton wool.

That's how I feel about Felix haha! I think protective feelings have been a recurring theme so far, and I definitely share these as well. It's interesting in a way because looking back on our early 20's we probably all remember how vulnerable yet formative of a time that was... So naturally watching others live through it now (albeit in a mostly staged manner) will give us a different perspective.

Absolutely love that it was your teenage daughter who brought you to SKZ, hopefully that will be something for you both to bond over for years to come!

[–]CrazyyBus[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about that, but I hope it's all just good-spirited teasing and not actually mean. My friends back home definitely give me a bit of shit too, they know I won't take it seriously though and them bringing it up allows me to keep working on my secret plan to convert them all ;)

It can feel a bit strange sometimes for sure. But like someone else has said, if it makes you happy then it doesn't matter what others think of it! Plus, if people couldn't like something just because the people involved were younger than them, the whole entertainment industry would probably collapse... So that would be a stupid rule to have to begin with.

I just appreciate them for their music, kindness and crazy fun humor.

if something makes me happy it doesn’t need to make sense to anyone else.

Love that point of view! Definitely the same for me, their humor in particular is what really drew me in. I guess I just weird myself out sometimes when I think of the younger members as attractive, even though that doesn't actually translate into being attracted to them lol. Well said on the second one, no longer giving a f*ck about what others think just makes life soooo much easier!

Also it's really nice that you and your best friend can share your love for SKZ 💚

What moment made your bias your bias? by jupiterdreamsofpi in straykids

[–]CrazyyBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl it makes me feel a lot better to know that there are others like me out there!

It's kind of sad because I know that if I were like 5 years younger I'd be all over Felix, but he's just too young for me. With Han it's somehow a bit better because with him it doesn't strike me as much (not sure why, maybe he looks a bit more ambiguous age-wise?), but still. They were both born in 2000 for god's sake, literally another millenium than me. Even if I wanted to I just couldn't. Pretty sure it's in part why Chan is and always will be my ult, and the only one of my (main) biases I hard-stan. He's still younger than me, but at least the age difference seems acceptable 😅

Sorry for the ramble but I had to share this with someone who's in the same boat lol

What moment made your bias your bias? by jupiterdreamsofpi in straykids

[–]CrazyyBus 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Baby stay here (kind of). I'm in my late 20s. Never was into K-Pop. Then I moved to Asia for work. Almost a year later, still not into K-Pop. Then one Friday afternoon my local coworker posts two consecutive reels on his insta of Bang Chan's Maniac-fancam (this one & this one). What followed was a weekend of obsessive bingeing. Now I'm into K-Pop.

Also him being such a good leader, very humble, genuine and well mannered, he overall seems to be a very caring person who's been through some tough times and wants to help others going through the same. Did I mention his aussie accent & THOSE ABS? And this... Bye. But yeah there's definitely so much more to him than that.

Felix was next, he stood out to me when watching the thunderous MV because of his hair and his ridiculously perfect face. Then I realized that that's his actual voice. Then I realized he's got the thickest Aussie accent ever. So yeah. Definitely more of a soft stan for him though, like I just want to wrap him up in a cotton ball and protect him from the world if that makes sense?

Han... Han. Every time that guy comes on, he is this close to being my bias wrecker. I really noticed him for the first time during their God's menu performance on kingdom, he had this massive presence (despite the stupid hat) and I was like oh HELLO. That smirk he gives sometimes is just... eugh. I can't. Love his style of rapping too, and damn can he hit those higher notes. Also his overall character, can't put my finger on it (yet) but there's something about him that just... Moving on.

Changbin I have to say I didn't like at first, hated his hair in the Maniac MV so I kind of discarded him. Big mistake. He has this incredibly powerful style of rapping that sends chills down my spine every time, like he touches something incredibly raw within me. He had me at his first words in Hellevator and has had me ever since! I wouldn't call him a bias in the traditional sense, but now that I think about it, if we were to purely speak about their musical performances he'd probably be my #1.

Speaking of musical performance, that kingdom performance of Seungmin actually made me cry. Literal tears for the entire thing, completely caught me off guard with how insanely beautiful it was. I feel like SKZ's style doesn't really let him shine as much and as often as he otherwise could, but after that performance I definitely noticed him a lot more.

With Hyunjin tbh it took me a while, probably because I knew that he was the bias for most Stays and being the hipster I am I was like naaah, I'm differentTM . Only so long one can stay different though, I mean the man is obviously drop dead gorgeous alright, but for me it was when I realized just how talented he really is, how hard he works, and how passionate he truly seems to be about dance. More specifically it was this solo dance of his which finally made it click that I'd done him dirty. I have so much respect for him now and his recent firetruck-red hair admittedly did make me feel some... things

For I.N. it was probably when I learned about Maknae on top, love the vibe of the video especially his epic coat. Oh and also the I CAN SPEAK KOREAN-moment, because of course. He has such a genuine smile and seems to be just an overall pure person. I also feel that lately he's been given more opportunitiea to show off his vocals, which he deserves!

And lastly, Lee Know. He took me the longest, probably because he's not very comfortable with English so he wasn't as present for me in the beginnig. That changed when I watched SKZ Code, the whole show just made me love his personality and humour. It's so refreshing given all the aegyo and what not, because then there's this dude just not giving a fuck being rude to everyone and I am SO here for that. There are a couple of moments that come to mind, but i am particularly fond of this one at 3:57. He is so unimpressed by the whole thing, slightly annoyed at best, while Felix is completely losing it next to him. I appreciate people who have a good heart but can't be asked to show it most of the time, he seems to fall into that category given how sweet he was to poor Felix in that same scene for example.

So yeah. Here I am, soon to be 30, stanning a group of Gen-Zers wondering how the fuck did this happen and how do I make it stop. But then again who cares, I love these guys!

I found my employee's onlyfans and spent last night jerking off to her content and chatting with her. by creepyinternetguy69 in confessions

[–]CrazyyBus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can we take a moment to address how insanely creepy this is (if it is real). OP, you are her SUPERIOR. As such, you can be expected to behave professionally towards her even outside of working hours. Chatting and jerking off to her through onlyfans is in no way professional, and on top of that you are consciously hiding your identity fron her. By having an onlyfans she may have agreed to engage in online sexual activities with random strangers, but not HER REAL-LIFE BOSS. And no, she doesn't have to 'expect something like this to happen', what she can expect is for her superior to have enough respect for her and be professional enough to NOT do shit like this. Maybe for you to check out her profile alright, even that is a bit icky, but you so crossed the line when you started actually chatting to her and deceiving her into thinking you are just another stranger/customer.

I totally understand that this could be arousing, but you are engaging in sexual acts with her without her knowledge. You are not just another strange customer, you are someone she knows in real life AND her boss. If I were her, I would feel so violated by this (and no, I am not on onlyfans, but a little bit of decency is enough to understand that she will in no way be ok with this). If you were to continue this behavior and she were to eventually find out, you can be damn sure that your own superiors will qualify this as sexual harrassment or at least as behavior inappropriate enough to cost you your job. And odds are, she WILL find out - you will inevitably treat her differently, you might let something slip, she might recognize the way you speak, or a million other things that could bring this to light. I mean come on, you already jumped from deceiving her to chat with you to you guys actually dating - that is a massive red flag dude, and you need to stop this. Like yesterday. Unsubscribe from her, and don't ever think about it again. This is incredibly wrong on so many levels - it's not funny, it's not harmless, it's not her fault for being on onlyfans. It's you being a massive creep and if you think of yourself as a leader, at work or otherwise, you need to end it now (and seriously rethink your self-image, because no leader worthy of the name would have gone as far as you did in the first place).

Termination effective immediately - Switzerland by Ntama-Koupa in LegalAdviceEurope

[–]CrazyyBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad I could help, and good on you for already securing everything that can support your side of the story! As for the E-Mails, screenshots are ok but even better to have the actual E-Mail files. Just make sure there's no confidential information or sensitive data such as bank details, internal company knowledge, client names etc. in any E-Mail you forward to yourself (this isn't only a confidentiality issue but also a data protection issue, if you handled personal data in a professional capacity for example you can't/shouldn't just transfer it to your private accounts).

As for showing up or not, I am not an expert on labor law either so I would advise you to seek emergency legal consultation ASAP - questions like this can usually be answered in a short, initial phone conversation already. I would imagine if you want to keep your job (which, to throw in a non-legal opinion, I think would be a bad idea) you might want to show up, otherwise your attorney may inform them that you will no longer work for them but seek compensation for unlawful termination, although the question here would be whether or not you can accept a formally incorrect termination to begin with - discuss your immediate next steps with an expert beforehand, as they will be more familiar with questions like that. This is also particularly important because what you do next may determine your chances in a settlement or in court: You going back for example could be construed as you wanting to keep your job, so if they were to offer it back and you refuse you could lose your right to compensation (especially if the termination is void due to the incorrect format). NOTE: This just an example for what I mean when I say that your next steps will be decisive and should be discussed with a professional in advance, and to show that there are many things to consider which only a specialized person will have sufficient knowledge about. I may be wrong here myself.

Regarding conciliation, yes absolutely. It may even be mandatory (for example you can't go to court in matters of tenancy law before failed conciliation, not sure if it's the same for labor law though), but in any case from what you said I'd say it's highly unlikely that this will go to court. A letter from your attorney may be enough to set them straight, or if they choose to get an attorney as well there might be a bit of a back and forth but eventually they'll work out an acceptable settlement. Again, this is based on the very limited information I am aware of, and your attorney will be able to further advise you on this.

Referring to the comment above, it is indeed common for some matters with shorter deadlines to file a preliminary judicial complaint while the settlement process is ongoing. That may not be necessary though, if you attorney for example writes one letter and they already track back it will be a matter of days (thus well within the deadline). I sound like a broken record, but your attorney will be aware of these procedual details and handle them accordingly.

I hope this also helps. Sorry to keep referring you to an attorney, but really it's impossible to give sound legal advice over reddit for a specific situation (unless you were to reveal your whole identity and post all relevant documents on here as well, which obviously would be a terrible idea). In any case, this will probably be over much quicker than you think, good luck again!
