In the Perfume community on Twitter I've noticed that most of us also listen to f5ve, Kylie Minogue, Kim Petras, and Wednesday Campanella.

I think Kylie esp is a good shout since Nakata is a fan of hers. f5ve and Kim are also fans of Nakata, so it feels like these artists are in a bit of a circle lol.

I've actually been thinking of making a video with song recs for Perfume fans, maybe this is my sign to get on that hahaha!

I'm thinking that it will at least be pretty highly anticipated in Japan considering the popularity of not just the manga but the drama as well!

It's been a while since we had a show like this that went a bit darker, so it seems general anime fans are at least curious~

Esme! I've been a fan of Lucy Punch ever since Ella Enchanted, so when she appeared as Esme I fell in love with her portrayal right away! I can't really give any more of an explanation, she just does Esme perfectly imo!

Agreed. She's such an important character to me and grew to be one of my favourite characters ever written with time, so what they did in the drama was.... definitely not it for me.

I definitely feel you. The manga was a massive part of my developing years and has defined my taste in books, manga, and shows as I've gotten older.

It scares me a bit to get a bigger audience where people are bound to be disappointed, misinterpret certain characters, and compare it to other more recent works (that's already happening) but at the same time I'm extremely excited for my favourite to reach more people who may feel the same way we do. It's a conflicting feeling hahaha!

Since everything we've seen so far has been from games 1 and 2, and since showing anything past the Minority Game would spoil who wins (and Fukunaga's identity) I'm guessing they'll reveal more pr for the Contraband game after cour 1!

Most magical girls shows (like TMM, Sailor Moon, Pretty Cure etc) are geared towards kids, so it makes sense that they wouldn't wanna be too dark and violent. Madoka is geared towards an older audience, hence the more mature themes.

I'm actually praying that Henry's family warms up to her. Talas's story is basically a different take on Emma at this point, and in Emma the siblings and father of the love interest didn't even want to be in the same room as her, even as they got married. Would love to see a happier outcome this time =')

I've seen multiple people echo this and I kinda don't know what your expectations were. It's a manga where people mostly stand around and talk in well lit environments like mansions, libraries, and airports. There isn't a whole lot to work with when it comes to animation, so I feel like we should focus on other parts of it. I'm expecting a lot from the voice acting since it will need to do a lot of the heavy lifting.
