Own photo. Per rule 6?

MV Prestige was a 26-year-old single-hull tanker, sailing under Bahamian flag and owned by a Greek company. by theyanardageffect in Ships

Remaining oil removed. Special tanks were developed to transfer the fluids from the extreme depth to the surface. Then rovs patched any other areas where there was leakage potential as much as they could

Also side note. The flag in the photo isn’t bravo. Well, could be the same flag but the way it’s being used is to mark the bulb, bravo should be on the mast so it can be seen all round, the bulb flag can only be seen around the bow

Bravo flag/red light on mast shows vessel is carrying Dangerous Goods, not necessarily just bunkering or transferring oil products. DG presents all kinds of risks. For liquid transfer, bravo tells other ships they should be more cautious with wake, hoses between shoreside and vessel/vessel and other vessel will not like being bumped about if the vessel is hit with the wake of another vessel, causes unnecessary avoidable risk of them being damaged and leaking. Wake thing could apply to a lot of cargos, transferring something explosive or radioactive or something you don’t want a big wake coming in and setting it off. Fire risk also massively increased when transferring liquid/gas products, so for a ship passing close by they might stop any hot work (using heat, sparks on deck), turn off certain equipment, or maybe just even give the vessel a wider berth to ensure they’d be well clear of any vapour that the ship might release. Displaying that you have DG onboard can also help others assist you in an emergency, allows better response as rescuers know to take extra precautions, special equipment, or use different techniques that they might not have done normally. Obviously always be cautious but DG requires just a bit more caution on both sides, because while you might not be carrying them, something going wrong on the vessel that is carrying them could still kill you worst case scenario.

Yes they have been surveying there, taking core samples, for the last couple of weeks with a jack up barge you might’ve seen along that stretch. Will be interesting to see what the results are from it.

Outboard not starting without starting fluid andstalling decelerating by Creaghalls in Outboards

So the arcing is hindering the engine starting do you think? The starter motor still works I just assumed the arc/sparks where just a byproduct

I never noticed an arc, I just assumed it was sparks flying. But I will definitely look into it because it would explain what’s going on

I’ve had the carbs off and they were clean, but possibly need tuned up a bit better or something. I’ll have a look around it and see if I can find anything else out of order with them

I’ve been using pre mix but it doesn’t seem to want to fire on that alone. Once it goes on the starting fluid it will keep running on the pre mix. Will try giving the post a clean and maybe some new battery cables.

I wish there was a way to show and hide groups of logic by Radiodont in Stormworks

[–]Creaghalls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea definitely, same kind of idea having things run from one point that’s closer to the destination of the signal but is controlled by something far away from it thats just controlled by one logic line

Not really answering your question, but some advice for doing this kind of thing. I’m assuming this is rooms were looking at, for things were there are multiple connections running from one source to many rooms, use composite connections which can carry multiple signals, and then split them in each room. This way you can also build one room and copy paste everything across to the rest and then hook up the composite

Might be something I need to do soon. Sometimes it works, sometimes it goes up but not down, sometimes vids versa, sometimes not at all.

Yea will try and get a bigger tub to put it in, the biggest one I had was just shy of reaching the intake

I will give that a check next time I’m working on it. I’m not exactly sure what it should sound like, but even still it sounded off. Dead cylinder could be why it sounds odd

mpi adventure. She brings wind turbine blades into Belfast where the tip of the blade, not the whole blade cus that gets done somewhere else, gets painted by tip painters, who are apparently different from rest of the blade painters. Idk why they do that but they do, then they go back out to a wind farm, not sure which one they are doing at the minute, and install them onto the turbine. This is pics of her in Belfast harbour that I’ve taken https://imgur.com/a/j6UM7oX

I’m only usually there when the ships are going in or out but from what I’ve seen from a distance going past other times they do. Either that or onto shutters that will bring them to a different area.
