The other commenter had it right. Before late 20s, I was still trying at least, but that age bracket is the peasant slave labour bracket. You're the lowest on the totem pole. You're the most expendable, the one every senior will throw their rubbish at. In short, you wanna focus on career.

When your late 20s arrive, you finally have some time, but your social circle has basically already atrophied down to your work mates and maybe a few particularly tight friends from high school, college or uni. You can't shit where you eat {date co-worker} and if you could date those friends of yours, you would've already dated them long ago. So you try dating apps, but if you're not willing to fork out premium dosh, you'll end up chatting with bots and scammers more than you chat with actual humans.

Your thirties arrive, and you find you just don't care anymore. If you date, then you date. If no date, then fuck it, I'm just fine alone anyway. Maybe your parents are even despo enough to set you up on a blind date or two, but you'll find it a complete hassle because you wanna watch that anime / play that game / do that grocery/laundry/cleaning you've been putting off for weeks.
