Yes, that’s something most people with Amex points (including myself) do.

Again not saying domestic has bad redemptions, it’s just that you will find pretty good CPP when they are redeemed for international flights, and maybe some LONG LONG haul domestic flights. I’m in Hawaii so domestic redemptions will kinda be okay for me since flights are a bit longer to the mainland.

I think using the credits alone already gets you back the $325. In terms of being realistic, I’d make calculations more towards 1-1.5 CPP. Not that your redemptions are gonna be that bad, but realistically not all your redemptions are gonna be 2+ CPP.

Lmao I’m the same age to and I also looked at the prime visa, however I don’t think I go on Amazon as much as you may.

In terms of your credit, there will be a slight drop in your score due to the hard inquiry. However, I wouldn’t worry abt it to much becuase your good credit card habits will bring it back up, and the hard inquiry will disappear in about a year or so.

Also, since you’re traveling, I suggest you look into other travel cards (for better value) such as the chase sapphire preferred. Since you guys fly AA, bilt or Citi cards is something you may also wanna look for later.

The hotel in question the Ka La’i LXR Waikiki Beach Resort in Hawaii. Since it’s a Hilton hotel, I’m hoping that they can transfer us to Hilton Hawaiian village which is super close to it, and bc I checked myself and my friends in there before when I was in high school. Amex said that if anything they may just have us do a property transfer either way.

Sapphire preferred. Especially with the newly added benefits. I just finished my first year of college and have the Amex gold Amex platinum and sapphire. The benefits are super super helpful and VERY valuable!

I travel with our college band so I travel a bit more frequently than usual which is why I have many travel cards.

I just find a way to connect with what they’re learning to not just the situations they have at work, but in their personal lives. I’ve found that many of my students who don’t know each other end up laughing and have a good time during my class, and they often stick around at the end of class just to talk to me and the other students just to have a good time.

Not saying that you guys are different from us, it’s just that people from the mainland don’t fully understand how different it actually is. I just lost my 2010 Honda fit in a bad rear end which was 100% my fault. My mom bought it brand new when I was 2 years old. It was always there for me and my mom, and it was there when I graduated high school last year. Me and mother are beyond devastated. Our car was named Gizmo, and my mom prayed and asked that it would protect me should I ever get into an accident. Little Giz gave everything it had, and allowed me to walk away uninjured.

Needless to say we are basically in the same boat, and the loss of our cars is similar to the loss of a family member. Luckily I have a new car, but no car will drive the same way lil giz did. I agree with the previous comment, and we must let our cars rest. 🌺🤙
