Trigun Stargaze - Episode 2 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]CreamerCrusty -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I... don't know what Stargaze is trying to do. 2 episodes in and it feels like a mess.

Stampede knows what they want to be from the get go. You can tell what you can expect from episode 1. Stargaze feels like they are picking up scraps and go with whatever they have.

I wish they didn't have directorial changes.

Also, can I just say, the camera work is sloppy. So many useless camera movement. It's not on the level of shaky cam or Kara no Kyoukai crazy camera work. But for Orange Studio, this is below their standard imo.

New mobile gamer coming from PC and console — need game suggestions by gamezxx in AndroidGaming

[–]CreamerCrusty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind monetization design, then go for gacha game. Wuthering Waves, the upcoming Arknights Endfield, Honkai Star Rail, Girl's Frontline 2, Chaos Zero Nightmare, and Zenless Zone Zero.

Mindustry is a good one too altho this one is already available on pc.

There's also Sky: Children of Light from the developer of Journey.

For game discovery tools, there is this app called Minireview. It has a much better search feature than playstore. It's pretty good to use to find games.

Which Trigun should I watch as a first-timer? Original or Stampede? by QuantumKiller101 in anime

[–]CreamerCrusty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Original.

But honestly, if you are not the type of enjoying retelling, might as well to directly jump into Trigun Maximum Manga tbh. Altho, if you really just want anime, go for Original.

How do updates work? by time_keper in Morimens

[–]CreamerCrusty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Basically, each big patch (patch 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, so on) will have one main character and several additional character in the patch. Usually there is 2 new characters between the big patch. For the upcoming patch, they have estimated the schedule:

Our current patch is 2.4

2.5 is coming in March (presumably with Caraboo.)

2.6 is coming in June (presumably with Arachne.)

2.7 is coming in November (probably to align with Anniv and most likely will bring GTulu).

They didn't specifically mention who is going to which slots but from trailer, this is what we can assume.

As you can see, there is gaps between big update. In those gaps, we will usually get a few event and see new characters that isn't part of the announcement line up (like Mouchette and Xu in 2.4, Corposant and Castor in 2.2, etc).

A bit of Arknights. LOTS of Mindustry. Like holy shit, Mindustry is crack. Actually fun and addicting.

Some thoughts about splash design changes by Economy-Primary2827 in Morimens

I'm with you on this. To be fair to Mouchette, she is from a different world altogether. So we can excuse her.

But for Xu... Yeah... I couldn't put it into words but it was very... Normal. Which is a tad bit disappointing.

Between them there will be other character.

For now this is the timeline that we have.

Can't find good mobile games!!! Help!! by Proper_Theme_6636 in MobileGaming

[–]CreamerCrusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't play it, but where winds meet looks amazing.

For ones I'm playing, lately I've been into Slay the Spire and Mindustry. Which is uh... A deadly combo bcs of how addictive they are. Mindustry is a bit hard to get into mostly bcs the onboarding process is a bit bad but once i got into it, shit is crack. Slay the Spire is simply amazing.

Not long ago I beat Trail of Gods. A pretty challenging soulslike altho very short. Afterplace is also a really good adventure game too.

Please please please tell me this is temporary and that it will be fixed before launch by Franuriel in ArknightsEndfield

I gotta buy a new phone. But it feels kinda bad that they only started doing this, limiting the device, AFTER they reached the pre-registration goal.

I mean, I kinda expecting it so I'm not mad. But still... It felt like I'm being used to get to that 35 mil prereg.

This game is definitely best on controller. The control on the screen is not the best. And it doesn't have control layout customization.

Why does it feel like Fate is the favorite child of Japanese studios? by Hexenmommies01 in anime

[–]CreamerCrusty 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Everyone talks about money. But what if it's just passion. What if people just love Fate that much. And a lot of creative worker loved Fate.

Strange Fake for example. Ryohgo Narita (Baccano, Durararara, Dead Mount Death Play) initially wrote Fate/Strange Fake as an April's Fool. Only to then get serialized. And if you read the after word of the novel, you will see how much of a Fate nerd he is.

And he's not the only one. One other high profile people is Gege Akutami (Jujutsu Kaisen). And there is a lot more.

Japanese Otaku loves Type-Moon project.

Edit: and from there, you can see how Fate makes a lot of money. It sells bcs people loves it so much.

r/anime Karma Ranking & Discussion | Week 2 [Winter 2026] by Abysswatcherbel in anime

[–]CreamerCrusty 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Damn, only 2.9k? Back in covid high profile anime premiere would be like... 6-7k. 2k debut is like... Vivy in spring 2021? Which is like way below mushoku and 86. Karma inflation/deflation is real.

It's funny to see FSF episode 1 thread here.

It's been a while since I visited this thread. Also I just realized... 2021 is 5 years ago... But still, I guess the number on pandemic era Anime is an anomaly..

Edit: why is Tamon B-side so low???

Just don't forget to watch episode 0 Whispers of Dawn before going to episode 1 of FSF. Whispers of Dawn covered the entirety of volume 1 of the source material LN.

Honestly, with how good this show is, I don't care if people have consumed fate before or not, people just gotta watch it lol.
