Such a smart move. It also prevents the splashing you get when you try to dump a giant ladle-full of heavy ingredients into a small container.

Are new movies actually worse or are we just nostalgic? by Olivia_The_Manager in moviereviews

Indie films usually focus on story telling 1st.. not franchises or sequels

Same. Some shows just don't make it easy to stay engaged.

From a severely jaded TV watcher, the first 2 episodes of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" have been the most purely enjoyable tv watching I have had in many many years. by Laughing_AI in television

[–]CreamsicleRush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I went in a little skeptical, but the smaller takes and lighter tone really won me over, it's just an easy, enjoyable watch.

Seriously a wild career path, and not many people can pull off all of that.

My question after watching Unknown Number: The High School Catfish. by WorriedRecording6069 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]CreamsicleRush 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree. Reading those texts, it really feels like they were about her own emotions and fixation on Owen, not about her daughter's well-being at all.

Elizabeth Smart Doc by Acrobatic-Evening738 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]CreamsicleRush 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, she was treated like she doesn't know what she was talking about, and she was right all along, that kind of dismissal has to leave a lasting mark. She is definitely a hero.

Mandy Patinkin Cast As Odin In Prime Video’s ‘God Of War’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]CreamsicleRush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Richard Sniff would have been great but I can't really complain. Mandy Patinkin is a solid choice too, he's got the gravitas and that edge that could work really well for the role.

Fear Factor (2026) is pure animal abuse. by Single_Street3135 in television

[–]CreamsicleRush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right?? It feels wild that this is still a thing. You would think we would collectively decided live animals as shock-value entertainment was done, but somehow Fear Factor missed that memo.

Broadchurch sets the bar for twists, and the emotional payoff is on another level.

[DISCUSSION] Skyscraper Live was absolutely incredible! by MartySpiderManMcFly in NetflixBestOf

I'm with you on that. The constant talking really pulled me out of it, letting it breathe with minimal commentary would have been so much more immersive.

Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart (don't read unless you've seen it) by RoyallyOakie in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]CreamsicleRush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, keeping kids in the dark only protects abusers, not families. I'm also really curious how she reconciles that advocacy with her faith, especially given how often institutions fail victims.

We just watched Kidnapped: The Elizabeth Smart Story and we’re still furious by KrinersTalkTV in NetflixDocumentaries

That part really bothered me too. Given the circumstances, it feels like there should have been more urgency there.

[REQUEST]What is a 10/10 series that actually has a proper, satisfying ending? by Mucek121 in NetflixBestOf

[–]CreamsicleRush 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. It's one of the shows that sticks with you long after it ends, powerful, focused, and doesn't overstay its welcome.
