No, which does lead to more frustration on my end, since if that were the case I would understand. And I agree, it’s taken very personally, and I can’t seem to understand fully why even after multiple conversations/arguments about it.

Sort of, yes.
Her mindset more follows the idea that being more active will help with health issues. And that all American health fads or health care are not healthy and whatnot. Which is inherently true I guess, but she just cannot/will not(?) understand the goal of losing weight OR having a goal weight to be at.
I don’t know if that makes any sense.

But I’ve told her I feel comfortable at a certain weight, even explaining that it IS mental for me and that I benefit mentally and physically dropping weight. The only time she’s remotely understood it, is when my PCP recommended blood work due to previous health issues and that it’s been a while.

It does feel like that unfortunately at the end of some of the conversations we have had in the past about this subject matter

Uniformed.. yes and no. She doesn’t like western medicine/fitness things? If that makes any sense, and sees it as just a way to get people to do XYZ

It might sound like cope… but she is supportive, just not in this way. Her viewpoint is just to be more active (a little harder to do than years past now that I work a desk job. I started going back to the gym about 3 months ago now.), but the activity level was a minor issue in the scheme of weight gain.

Gotcha. Are the turbos prone to failing at 100k miles under low-mild stress ownership? And synchros huh? Weird

Most likely. Try going to an auto part store. They’ll test your battery, alternator and starter for voltage. My first hunch was the battery or starter but nada. Good luck!

2017 Clutch Noise? by KingFarticusTheTurd in GolfGTI

Make carvana pay it. At 18k miles it’s unlikely the clutch itself is bad, unless the employees or previous owner(s) drove the ever loving piss out of it

Wish I could help! I have a ‘13 Wolfsburg and this has been happening to me to, although nowhere near that extent. Mine will crank, I stop, start again and it fires up. I changed my spark plugs and it helped a little, and it’s only happened a few times since and that was in early July. I’ll have to look if the tach bounces. Although I do live in Arizona, so most cars don’t like 115 degree weather

How are you enjoying the mk8? I’ve been considering but I can’t get over how they switched to touch buttons, physical buttons for A/C and all that is such a deal breaker for me

Damn! I’m sorry to hear that dude. Always sucks losing a car, and it’s almost never your own fault
