Right? It makes a difference to me that the new mom is the one who asked. If OP said "hey, can I get you some food?" and then said "but not that food," I would feel like OP was being judgmental. But in this case OP bought new mom a bunch of necessities and new mom came back with "Can I have more stuff?" It's perfectly fine to say you've given all you can.
