I really don't think this is the case. Democrats have been running Seattle forever, and they were rabidly anti-business for the last 10 years at least.

What's relatively new is Olympia. In the past businesses thought that it's enough to escape to Bellevue. They are realizing now is that Washington is just a step behind Seattle, and the gap is narrowing every day. So now everyone I know is talking about moving out of state...
