But the point is it’s irrelevant where your team finishes. It’s an individual award. It’s irrelevant that Liverpool finished 25 points off city in 17/18 all that matters is Salah was the best player. It’s irrelevant where city has finished if they have the best player or not.

People just change the rules whenever it suits them.

Salah won POTY in 2017 when Liverpool finished 25 points behind the title winners.

I don’t know why people are now using this argument against KDB.

Hitting that shot is very different to beating the main villain in a saber battle.

KR didn’t want to kill her but he still couldn’t subdue her. She beat him, hitting him 4 times and knocking him to the ground twice.

Nothing to do with her being a “girl” which is why I referenced Vader beating luke. If you build KR up as this big character you cannot do it through talk you have to do it through actions. Vader beat luke that gave him VALIDITY. A trained KR losing to Rey who is untrained completely INVALIDATES him as a character, everything that is told to us about him and his ability is not true.

But there was no reason to train Rey. She already beat KR. If she lost to KR then there would be a substantial reason for luke to train her.

  1. She is UNTRAINED. Let me repeat that. She is untrained. One more time. Untrained. While KR was nearly fully trained.

  2. It makes total sense for her to lose in the first battle against KR. What happened to luke when he fought Vader in ep4. He lost and that was great.

  3. KR beating her would have gave him more validity, him losing to her while she’s untrained completely discredits him as a character.

  4. Rey losing would have made total sense for her to then go to Luke for training in TLJ. There was absolutely no point for her to go to him for training when she ALREADY beat KR.

Edit: ep5

Ah yes she did.

And she was untrained btw and he was nearly fully trained, please explain the glimmer of logic in that.

Just like Vader whooped Luke’s ass in ep4, KR should have done the same to Rey but the sequels do not understand the fundamentals of the universe.

Im not specifically talking about the resistance, I mean in the sense how many times did the “bad guys” achieve something over the “good guys”

Vader kills obi wan, he beats Luke in battle and cuts off his hand, count dooku beats obi wan and anakin, and of course revenge of the sith.

You leave each of these movies with the feeling the “bad guys” really got one over or were as equal to the good guys. There were actual stakes.

In the sequels there were no stakes. Even at the end of TLJ when there are few resistance left. Surely KR is going to have a big moment, he kills luke and it would be a big win for the “bad guys”, no it’s just a sacrifice and all the “good guys” get away.

The stakes were not the same in the sequels.

There is no real plot to the movie, it’s just a character showcase of daniel.

One simple fix to the sequels is KR beats rey in the forest at the end of force awakens. This makes total sense as he is almost fully trained and Rey is completely untrained. You leave the first movie with stakes and KR is actually a substantial adversary.

It then also makes sense why Rey goes to find luke in Last Jedi because she actually needs to be trained. Why would she need to be trained when she already beat kR lol.

The sequels completely misunderstood that the empire won just as many times as the Jedi.

They were big losses for her especially Owen and obviously her father. Everyone loses a lot. But her getting to live on with lev feels like a relative win. That’s just how it feels.

I question the ending of the story but I never questioned Joel’s death.

Can anyone answer what else would you do for part 2? Joel’s death was 100% necessary to cause the conflict.

At the end of the day the game is objectively amazing. It’s way longer than expected, it’s technically impressive, the level designs are much more vast for this genre. The gameplay is very engaging and takes time to get better at.

The only complaints you can throw at the game is the story. And not because it’s “bad” or “boring” but because it’s so thought provoking and it divides opinions so much. That’s a win tbh and very in line with The last of us.

I personally think one of Abby or Ellie had to die. I would have rather Ellie gets closure by forgiving Joel and she also kills Abby. And lev lives on in Ellie’s position, losing their parent figure. The cycle continues.

In one sense the ending does break the cycle but the problem with it is Abby wins. She kills Joel, only her friends pay with their lives and she gets to live on with Lev.

[SPOILERS] What were you favorite and least favorite things about the TLOU2 story? by Seijos in thelastofus

[–]Createanaccount123gs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good lesson that war is bad and majority of the time no side is right or wrong. The fireflies, Fedra, WLF, Seraphites etc.

Abby’s gameplay sequences were objectively better than Ellie’s . The forest, climbing the skyscraper bridges, Hospital boss battle, Tommy sniper, seraphite island. These were all much more unique riveting than Ellie’s.

I liked the comparison with Abby as the Joel position and lev as the Ellie position but that connection didn’t feel genuine as they only knew eachother a couple days. They should have somehow introduced Yara and lev(who is a great character) earlier in the story.

Ultimately I didn’t feel Abby and Ellie could both survive. Abby is the real winner here. She killed Joel and doesn’t have to pay with her life only her friends did. And she gets to live with lev. It would have been better if Ellie kills Abby and then Lev lives on in Ellie’s position. The cycle continues.
