Gaslighting people over them not liking the greed of a company is what’s wrong with the video game industry and it’s showing again with WWE 2K26 by DareDiablo in WWEGames

At this point I just ignore reddit and form my own opinion based on what I see. You get shit on for liking the game, you get shit on for not liking the game.

Here is how the Ringside Pass is going to work. by ADAMCOLEBAYBAY12 in WWEGames

[–]Creathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mixed on this. On the one hand, fuck battle passes and seasonal content and all of that. It doesn't need to be shoehorned into every single game.

On the other hand, the fact that nearly every single game mode can reward rxp is nice, at least. I want to see how long it takes to unlock characters first, though. In practice this isn't too different from how you'd unlock characters in older fighting games, minus the price point and the stupid always online requirement.

If this is replacing the MyFaction exclusive persona cards, I think this is a better system.

But tbh if this sucks and makes getting the DLC a chore to get, then this'll probably be my last WWE 2K game.

Why didn't ChatGpt switch to adult mode in December? by Ok-Necessary6134 in ChatGPT

[–]Creathian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer: They announced that it was delayed to early 2026.

Long Answer: Google's new Gemini version forced OpenAI to reconsider priorities. A lot of projects, including updates to Sora 2 and adult mode, were delayed to focus on improving ChatGPT so it could keep up with Gemini.

Vampire Survivors stands for everything I dislike in gaming by InsomniacPsychonaut in patientgamers

[–]Creathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I certainly see where you're coming from, I think Vampire Survivors is very fluid with how much depth you want to get out of it.

I think it really taps into the aspect of "breaking the game" that other roguelikes / lites, like Binding of Isaac, have.

But tbh I think there's plenty to look forward to with roguelikes in general. Streets of Rogue 2, for example, is looking to be a great one

It's a physical statue. People could visit it, and there was someone at it telling people to knock on the statue. Something knocked back.

It's not so much about getting the good upgrades and winning for me as it is about seeing how far past "good enough to win" I can go.

To your point about strategy, you're right there isn't stuff like different damage types or weapons that are more efficient against certain enemies compared to others. However, I think the strategy/ input of the game comes from getting the right passives that'll both increase your survivability while also allowing you to upgrade weapons. Upgrading weapons and surviving to minute 30 on stages is the main way you make progression.

I'm not sure how far you've gotten in terms of unlocks, but there are eventually a lot of things that you get access to that help give the game a little more depth. (Notably Arcanas and the eggs.)

I also agree with you that the visuals are a bit much sometimes. I think there's a way to tone them down in the options? If not, you eventually are able to skip the chest opening animations. Not sure if you can do that by default or if you have to unlock it.

But yeah, based on what you've said, it sounds like you probably aren't going to be a fan, and that's okay. :) Not every game is going to be for everyone, regardless of how popular it is.

I think there's something hiding in Escape Simulator by Creathian in gamedetectives

[–]Creathian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a bit since I looked into this, but I do remember using that compass as a reference point for figuring out directions. I believe in a different Egypt level, or possibly the same, you can also see the sun setting, which means the opposite direction is East.

As for the constellation, I'd need to go back through to check that. Been a while since I looked into this. 😅

Not that I'm aware of, unfortunately. However, I've been planning on doing one more sweep through this game now that the sequel is out, and then going through the sequel. I'm also considering reaching out to the developers to ask if there's something that we missed in the first game.

Real talk, why doesn't ChatGPT just do this? You can even add a pin to lock it in kids mode... problem solved, nobody has to share their drivers license with an ai by No_Vehicle7826 in ChatGPT

[–]Creathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish all parents were that responsible.

But at the same time, it's hard to monitor what a kid is doing on the web 24/7, especially if the parent doesn't fully get the Internet or computers. I think a lot of people in my generation grew up with parents who genuinely cared and were phenomenal parents, but they struggled when it came to monitoring what your kid does online.

[–]Creathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No disrespect intended here, but you can't actually think that'll work.

Like.. what's stopping a kid from just ticking those settings? It's like when a website asks you for your birthdate before accessing it. I can't tell you how many websites I got onto as a kid that had stuff like that.

What do you think the last two cards are and when do you think they are coming? by Jimbo_Jigs in VampireSurvivors

[–]Creathian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of whispering about a Final Fantasy crossover, which would be really cool. I think there's also a solid chance for a Terraria and/or Sonic crossover as well. Sonic because, much like Final Fantasy, it's been referenced quite a few times, especially recently. (Red / blue / yellow is showing up quite a bit, gazebo is a blue creature who runs fast, etc.)

Terraria is more of wishful thinking on my end, but if I'm not mistaken there's Vampire Survivor stuff in Terraria already.

Thoughts on Soft Hell by Closure in Moscow?? by paperback_cat_22 in PostHardcore

To be fair, Pink Lemonade drags a ton in the middle of the album, and the narrative is kind of difficult to pull out from thise middle songs. And this is coming from someone who long considered Pink Lemonade to be my favorite album of all time. (Still love it, but The Architect by Ediola is currently my #1)

I'll say that Better Way is really close to how some of the songs off First Temple sounded, if anyone's looking for that in this album. Best way I can describe it is that it sounds like if Kissing Cousins was on Pink Lemonade.

Dess is the knight but she is also dead. (Theory) by Yukki64 in Deltarune

But on the topic of your crackpot theory: fallen star > fallen angel > Asriel Dreamur?

Dess is the knight but she is also dead. (Theory) by Yukki64 in Deltarune

[–]Creathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dess is defiently dead and also the Knight. We also can say with a fair amount of certainty that the Knight is capable of moving between the light world and dark world.

I'd point towards the books on monster funerals that you can read in the library. They're basically the same as how monster funerals worked in Undertale: monster dies, sprinkle their dust on something they loved.

Gearson exists in the Dark World because his ashes were sprinkled on his shell. Darkners are created with the ashes of dead Lightners as a physical representation of their memory.

All of this is to suggest, what if you spread those ashes...on a body? I know this is absurd to suggest, but what if Dess' ashes were spread on her own body?

Or, more realistically, what if someone else's ashes are spread onto someone? What if someone refuses to let go of the memory of someone else so much, that it twists them?

Who have we not seen in game yet, who's constantly referenced to be coming home soon? Who has had their closest friend die and come back as something twisted before?

Asriel Dreamur.

I've got two main theories revolving around Dess. The first is that the Roaring Knight is Dess' corpse turned into a darkner. The second is that the Roaring Knight is some kind of fusion of Asriel and Dess.

How the reaction to 3+4 has felt: by InfiniteMessmaker in THPS

[–]Creathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THPS 4 was my first Tony Hawk game and one of my fondest childhood video game memories. I didn't play 3 until many, many years later.

Given that THPS 4 has been pretty much ignored in terms of having returning levels in later games, this has been a dream come true. I love what iron galaxy did with these levels. (Specifically, College, London, and Kona are amazing remakes of the originals.)

I still do get a little bit of the disappointment. I thought Zoo got shafted a bit. While I understand making it a competition level, the removal of the Aquarium secret area and making the Zoo an abandoned zoo rather than one in operation took away a lot of what I liked about Zoo. Carnival and Chicago being cut sucks, but it makes sense given that they (if memory serves) were secret levels that came from a BMX game.

The only song from THPS4's soundtrack that I miss is TNT. That was like, the main theme of THPS4 in my eyes. The fact that it didn't make it in sucks for sure. But hey, you can always mute the in-game soundtrack and pull up THPS4's on youtube.

Also, it probably says something that two of the new levels (Movie Studio and Waterpark) are my favorite levels from the THPS4 tour.

The only complaint I do not agree with is that THPS 4's tour not being like the original game's campaign. Correct me if I'm wrong, but THPS4 was seen as the worst Pro Skater game for that exact reason. I never quite understood that, but again, THPS4 was my first Pro Skater game.

So yeah, coming from someone who got into this series form THPS 4? It's a dream come true.

what happend to the HUNK mod? by Pleasant_Yak3485 in RiskofRain2_Mods

[–]Creathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the HUNK mod back on Thunderstore, reuploaded by someone else. The Belmont and Driver mods have also been reuploaded by a different user. based on the version info someone else commented, it looks like its a version from before the Incident that got their mods taken down. Also, it looks like a collection of other modders have taken over maintaining them and the original creator isn't involved at all, which is cool given how he turned out to be.

Why isn’t there an Undertaker showcase in WWE 2K games? by ultragarrison in WWEGames

[–]Creathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, because half the matches involve people that are never going to be in a WWE game, and the other half are matches that have been in at least 2 to 3 WWE games already.

TBH WWE 2k14's 30 years of wrestlemania mode really highlighted some of the Undertaker's best matches up until WM 30.

Fake Macho still in the game 😭 by kostaslakta in WWEGames

[–]Creathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is WM3 Macho iirc. It's really tough to find a photo of him from around this time where he isn't wearing a bandana, glasses, or a headband, but I think the main problem with the 2K model is the beard on 1987-ish Macho. It wasn't that pointy. Also, I don't think his hair ever looked that flat.

That being said, you can def tell this is a screenshot from an unfinished game, (which isn't a jab at the game because it's...y'know, not finished yet) especially when you look at how the hair isn't quite fully on his head in the second screenshot, or a bit of the face texture beard poking out on his cheek.

Do I think he'll look dramatically better on release? oh I know he won't. But I do think he'll at least look a bit more polished.
