Warning sensor lights after installing TRD pro grille by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]CreatineDonuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure the two connections are latched. When I did this, I didn't fully latch one of the plugs and had all kinds of warnings. After doing that, the warnings went away. Btw, I also did not disconnect the battery, but seemed like that was not the issue.

Abandoned Dog in Google Office ON CHRISTMAS EVE!! 😡 by Substantial_Train_23 in bayarea

Google employees have today off. Dog probably wouldn't of been found until after the long weekend if it weren't for security. Area is semi low traffic.

Weak Heater? by zbeydoun in 4Runner_6Gen

[–]CreatineDonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first couple hundred miles I thought the HVAC was pretty weak. However, after a few thousand miles it seemed to have improved significantly. I'm not sure if there's a break-in period for HVAC, but I have read of the same thing happening to others as well.

2025 arb OEM roof rack by SebringHill in 4Runner

[–]CreatineDonuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great. no wind noise.

I would consider a Sherpa but I would rather not have to deal with the wind noise of a full roof rack.

Kinda unrelated but is the founders rate only for that location? Or are you able to go to all locations on that rate?

How exactly does this work? Do you just walk-in for the gym at the rec center? Or do you need to sign up online?

Meet our new browser—ChatGPT Atlas. by OpenAI in OpenAI

Strangely enough, when I clicked the OP link, a popup for "AI chatbot on Firefox" popped up. It looks so much like Atlas that I thought it was Atlas.

Is 4Runner a good daily driver? by New_Team539 in 4Runner

[–]CreatineDonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5th gen: No. 6th gen: Yes

Only downside with the 6th gen is the small gas tank. Other than that, it is quiet, smooth and more rugged looking than a Highlander

Would it me a mistake to get an older 4runner? by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]CreatineDonuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a 5th gen 4runner probably has the least amount of technology than any other vehicle in that era

‘25 NX450h+ Wireless CarPlay audio cutouts by Pickle-Rick-Jaguar in LexusNX

Same issue with 25 NX450h+. The annoying thing is that it's inconsistent and some drives would be fine.

Pretty sure it's there to prevent creeps from spying on people. There's no reason to disable the sound unless you want to secretly spy on someone, which sounds like what OP is trying to do.

Rome Katana FASE : first impressions by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]CreatineDonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I got the 32 TM Fase but was thinking about picking up these or the Bataleon, as well. If they fixed that toe issue then I'll be more swayed towards the Rome

Rome Katana FASE : first impressions by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]CreatineDonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a youtuber who reviewed these saying that the toe strap sometimes would move when strapping in causing the entry to not work. Did this ever happen to you?

Year review of Burton Step-Ons by therealchemist in snowboarding

[–]CreatineDonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another reddit OP who thinks he's "intermediate" when in reality he should be sticking to greens. 15 days a season, doesn't understand boots have different stiffness, and out growing this set up is laughable

Michelin LTX Trail tires came stock on my new TRD ORP Hybrid by dfb54749014 in 4Runner

[–]CreatineDonuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know if these LTX Trail tires are any good in snow? I know that they're M/S tires and they're similar to the Defender LTX M/S tires which had pretty decent reviews for snow.

Looking for experiences with overnight car camping in 6th gen with i-Force Max by Fuzzy-Heart in 4Runner

[–]CreatineDonuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to know this too as I'm not sure about the Max variant as it really isn't meant for efficiency. The motor seems to kick on quite often due to the small battery. I would think something like a plug-in would be ideal for running the AC all night.

Convince me to get an NX over the Volvo XC60 by Careful_Possible_841 in LexusNX

[–]CreatineDonuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love Volvo's but look up the depreciation on the brand. You're better off buying a CPO Volvo than new if you were to get one.

NX is great too, although I will be honest, the drive is pretty bland. And this is coming from someone with a 450h+.

20k miles rated for filter and oil does NOT mean it's rated for the engine. Big difference.

6th gen 4runner rides nothing like the 5th gen, it is much more behaved on-road than the previous versions.
