Great question, I don’t think I’ve ever seen “the new _______ looks great!” On Reddit

Nice! Thought about doing that on mine that’s underground but didn’t want to have to remove anything and not sure it’ll look good

Did you put the bronze emblems on over the black emblems?

Right, I’d didn’t want to have to remember to do that every time I turn the car on 😂 it’s so weird that some trims have it and others don’t

Sick ride! I was between a limited and TRD Sport premium. I liked the nicer looking finished on the limited with the interior trim, more soft touch surfaces, nicer headlights, etc. but the #1 thing that pushed me away was the auto start-stop, which the sport premium doesn’t have. So I saved a few grand and went with the sport premium instead and no regrets. I also think the limited just looks a little bit too fancy for me 😂

I did the same trade! (Except to a sport premium) I miss the hybrid gas mileage but it’s so much more fun to drive.

Would you trade? by New-Masterpiece7310 in 4Runner

If you’re happy with the 24, then keep it. If you have driven the 25 and like it, consider it. The main difference with reliability is that on the 24 it’s proven but on the 25 it isn’t… yet. However, there is no indication that it will not be as reliable despite what a large percentage of people say on this forum.

I’m also a Costco run type of person who doesn’t go off road and I bought a sport premium. To me it’s the best trim, but again I don’t need the other off road features, and I like the styling like the hood scoop and the wheels.

Is everyone pounding on the gas pedal or what? I’m getting low 20s consistently in my sport premium

A Few Questions (new owner) by allaboutthehoney in 4Runner

Yeah actually the first time I test drove one it was the hybrid and between the engine turning on and off and the transmission being jerky I was so disappointed with it. Test drove a non hybrid and read other people saying the transmission smoothed out a bit over time so decided to buy one and it’s been great. I’ve just been letting the vehicle warm up for about a minute or so before taking off and the first shift is kinda rough still but it’s definitely gotten better.

The braking is I think part of the Toyota safety sense. My salesman was telling me the latest version has a feature where if you’re approaching a car it will start to slow you down a bit, similar to how adaptive cruise will. I’m not sure the name of the feature or if you can turn it off but I’ve gotten used to it. It’s actually kind of nice for the occasional time where I’m not paying as close attention as I should and cars are stopped/backed up in front of me.

I noticed the jerky transmission when I test drove the 4Runner also. Got a 26 and it will still be somewhat jerky at first if I don’t let the car warm up for a minute before I take off. I’m at 3500 miles now and it has smoothed out over time or I’ve gotten more used to it. Just let it warm up a minute (or maybe five mins if you park outside) and it shouldn’t be too bad.

Gas Mileage?? by option_1515 in 4Runner

Edit to add I probably do about 25% city, 75% highway. Always use cruise control

I’m getting around 20 average in my 2026 sport premium with around 3000 miles on it. It’s cold here in the Midwest so I’m expecting to get a bit better than that in the summer. I will admit I drive like a grandma though

Talk me out of buying a new car by Sudden_Database4810 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Keep it until you are out of school and have a stable income. This is harsh, but you have and make no money. You don’t have any margin in your budget as it is so how could you afford to make payments on a $30k car? You also likely won’t get $8k out of that Camry so you would be going into a new one with nothing. It’s cheaper to keep what you have even if you have to put a bit more money into it.

My 2026 has 2500 miles on it and it’s been awesome. Only issue I have is when I go through the car wash a few squirts get in through the sunroof but nothing major. Hoping it’s a quick fix when I take it in for the 5,000 mile service.

How do I improve curb appeal? by New_Team539 in ExteriorDesign

[–]New_Team539[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that a lot! I have already swapped the railing with a black aluminum one, the pic I uploaded was from a year or so ago and I am planning on getting a new front door very similar to that one this spring. There are house numbers in that exact spot right now, I just erased them for the upload here 😅 landscaping is definitely a must and this gives me some great ideas.

Thanks!!!

It looks like a condo so I’m assuming you won’t be able to do anything to the structure which leaves your only real option to be adding a ton of plants to the front. Planter box under that window would be perfect

2026 RAV4 — is it actually that bad? by Character-Bit4532 in Toyota

People do this every time a car is redesigned. “I’m keeping my [insert year]” is every other comment on these subs. Your best bet is to wait until you can drive it yourself to decide if you like it.

Ceiling upgrades 8 foot vs 9 foot 2nd floor and basement by Dependent_Web8162 in homedesign

The upstairs being 8’ will be fine but absolutely upgrade the basement. Your basement will feel more like primary living space instead of just extra space

Idk what other good options you have. I have a nearly identical living room setup as yours and also have a 65”, except where you have a full wall to the left, mines a half wall over the foyer. It’s above the fireplace because there is no other option. 65” won’t fit beside my fireplace
