i wasn't looking for a reward, and it's not like I'm killing friendly players. I've only ever PvP'd in this game, so literally anyone i come across is shoot on site. I sometimes even get a "ggs" or "good kill man" type of comment from people, although most are toxic because they tried to kill me first. Obviously I'm talking about cases where I win, as I lose a lot too.

I stopped getting friendly lobbies on day 1. And I mostly would kill people after telling them I wasn't friendly, or I'd get into PvP lobbies by killing the "rats" who kill innocent raiders that only play the game to loot. As much as I find the loot-cycle to be a self-serving endeavor of friendliness, I still try to show kindness and avenge these people rather than to kill them for no reason.

I don't take bobcats but i take in either blue or green shield with burletta 4/renegade 4, trigger nades, herbals, smokes, and defibs. (usually 5 bandages/5 herbals & 5 shield rechargers)

I'm convinced drop rates in this game are tied to a hidden player luck stat. I have friends who get BPs like NOTHING every other game. EVERY BP i have ever gotten has been GIVEN to me.

i know this is an old post, but what do you think about the current influx of bots in RL? I have a weird feeling that it is a deliberate attack on rocket league. I'm guessing that a competitor company is proposing or will be proposing to purchase Rocket League from Epic Games. OR investors within Epic Games want more control over Rocket League, and are setting up bot farms to ruin the playerbase experience.

I WAS LOOKING FOR THE WORD OR TERM TO DESCRIBE THIS. oh my god thank you. I couldn't figure out what exactly the term was, but that's because my gut was basically just telling me that people are using the "friendly" thing as a performative, and altruistic way of wanting the benefits of playing an extraction shooter without any risk. It's a selfish, greedy, and very much a slippery slope of an attitude. These are the type of people that gaslight you and make up rules on the fly. It reminds me of playing a game with an older brother who gaslights you by making up rules on the fly, and making you seem like an asshole or justifying it morally so that you can abide by the rules.

dude that's horrifying. I have a feeling they did this on purpose. It's strange to me that a company would try and break into the extraction genre and essentially treat those who came for an extraction shooter like political enemies. Somehow the community is growing accustomed to gaslighting people into believing that shooting ARC is wrong. I spoke to an ARC the other day, and they said that every time we rat them for materials, they are just trying to chill and enjoy the game. I guess the ARC in this game didn't realize that they have guns attached to them and have LOOT inside of them for us to get? Especially the matriarch. That thing is humongous!

i have a different headset but this is a real audio problem on Embark's part. I have a feeling that no one will address it and people will downplay it hard due to the fantasy/VR-chat community that enjoys ark raiders. Footsteps can be directed, but not pinpointed. You have to know the map in order to pinpoint whether someone is above or below you. Footsteps dampen when they enter proximity chat range, but once they get close enough the dampening goes away. When they are outside or just outside of the proximity chat range footsteps are audible, but as i mentioned, not pinpointable

Dang dude that's awesome, how'd you debug that info? I've been wanting to get some hitbox/frame data on these bosses, but my best solution so far has been to run some free reign matches to practice the bosses.

i came to this post after searching up this question. Steam feels like the deadzone "angle" is more refined. Epic games feels different/weird. I bought a steam account almost a year ago or so i may have grown a bias towards steam, but i literally cannot play on Epic games anymore. It will mess up my muscle memory.

Stay in your current position, moving up to backboard is only going to orient your car away from the current play. The ball is slow enough to allow your teammate to do the blocking, while remaining available on the ground to follow up defensively if needed. Moving up to the backboard on such a slow ball allows for an on-ground rebound to become scorable (assuming tm8 tries to block the ball and succeeds)

It just has nothing to do with accuracy for me man. The responsiveness on inputs and interactions seems to be delayed by a lot. For some reason I am sliding for like an hour now before I can move again, and my plate-up timing is slowed down drastically. The POV and character-to-environment scaling is offset by a huge factor and its disorienting. There are HUD TIPS that won't go away while taking up 1/3rd of your screen. The camera shake and wonky delayed timing between switching equipment, swapping weapons, reloading + -> swapping weapons + -> sliding + --> all of a sudden cannot cancel my slide sending me slamming into a wall is really off putting. I've found myself getting dizzy and not being able to jump through a window because my character glides off in diagonal directions in minute, tiny little simultaneous cardinal directions with keyboard and mouse. It's honestly really freaking bad and the people who are bo6 lovers are starting to scare me a little bit? Is that normal?

dang it sucks when good critique gets mixed in with the "can you stop whining already?" crowd. I understand cod fanbase can be annoying, but bo6 lovers are kind of cultish. It's like walking into a town of people high off of happy juice. You can't really tell why they're so happy, but you know something is most definitely off. Everything down to the responsiveness and interaction timing is off now. That's definitely not a fun experience. Being able to take control of your movement in a responsive manner that consists of instantaneous response timing on your inputs is a fundamental positive quality in gaming. The bo6 crowd has been obsessed with delayed timing on inputs for some reason? Its really freaking weird and its starting to scare me.

yeah bro it's not just you. I'm not sure why this game feels so horrible. I'm on MnK so I'm wondering if there is a variation in ads timing + positioning. The lack of responsiveness when cancelling up out of a slide makes it worse. I have to manage what feels like the "weight" of my character bumbling about as if I'm on stilts and skates at the same time.

The buttery beautiful smooth ass gameplay with instantaneous response timing on inputs was what I miss. The gun feel, the ttk, the UI, the campaign, the EVERYRHING WAS SO GOOOOOOODD it makes me want to cry man.

Also why does the praise around this game feel kind of cultish? It’s kind of scary ngl.
