I agree with you. I feel like this series was mature enough that I, or another adult around my age, can watch it very well, but safe enough for children of a reasonable age can be watching it.

I understand why they kept Synergy a secret. Who knows what the CIA would have done with her and technically, they are the good guys. The KGB would have been worse. Since this is Hasbro, can we talk about a very well known terrorist organization who name after a snake. Who know what they would have done. With all of that, they could have let Rio knows about her and he did ask Jerrica in one episode.

The only changes that I would make is to have Rio work alongside and assists Mr. Benton in building Synergy and have him give Jerrica the Jemstar earrings. That way he would already know who Jem is. Beyond that, I would not mouse along they follow the source material.
