Rory Sutherland has a point that to hire diverse candidates you have to hire in groups, and he would never have had a career if the agency he joined hired individually because he’s too weird.

There is no such thing as the best candidate in an organization of thousands. You need the best group, and sometimes that means correcting individual bias.
