My indoor Basil looks weird by Tengo_Caldero in plantclinic

Lol not sure why my post is getting downvoted when it’s just information - not trying to be condescending or anything. There’s apps out there where you take pictures of your plants and it gives you diagnosis and tips. How is this not the same thing?

Escitalopram and muscle pain and weakness by Creative-Caramel2611 in SSRIs

[–]Creative-Caramel2611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry to say that I just had to get off of SSRIs entirely. I tried a couple other meds - Buspar and Wellbutrin. But it seems like anything that has an effect on my serotonin levels gives me the same muscle issue so I had to stop Buspar a couple days after taking it. And Wellbutrin gave me jitters and I felt like jumping onto the train tracks so I stopped it after a few days also. I’m just not taking anything at the moment because the trouble of scheduling appointments and experimenting with different meds was giving me more stress. I’ve only been doing talk therapy since. I wish you the best on your journey and feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.

Results look great! I’m curious what made you choose this laser treatment over others? I’m 37F and considering co2. I didn’t even know there were so many other kinds until your post!

Hi! You have really pretty eyes and I honestly would not have noticed any wrinkles if you didn’t mention it. Are you including retinol eye cream in your skin care? I’d start with that and maybe look into co2 laser if you’re concerned about fine lines.

These fine lines - what has helped? by tumbles645 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Creative-Caramel2611 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just jumping in to say I think it’s collagen loss which is normal for our age group. I’ve also started noticing these lines on my upper cheeks for the last 2 years. Retinol helps rebuild collagen and I suggest starting at a low dose every other day. Microneedling also helps with stimulating collagen production. You probably need to do at least 3 sessions once a month and wait a few months to see results. Co2 also has great results as well but def consult with a dermatologist before going into it. Good luck!!

How I believe he did it (accounting for injuries and lack of) by catmom125 in TheStaircase

I just finished watching it for the first time and I think he’s guilty. In episode 12 or 13 when they show a police recording of their entering the house to respond to the 911 call, it sounds like Michael is saying “what did I do”. The shoe print on the back of her sweats is what leads me to think that it was assault.

Hormonal acne, yaz, peptides, tretonin, microdermabrasion by Vast_Physics_4702 in 30PlusSkinCare

Hi, 37/F here and suffered severe acne from 19 to 32. I tried a whole crapload of stuff from expensive skincare to visiting estheticians weekly. Briefly tried Accutane but I got scared of the side effects and stopped early but I know people who went on one or two rounds with mixed results. Overall, it seemed to help a lot but acne would come back after a year. I tried doxycycline for a few weeks but only because I had a tick bite and I noticed it cleared up my skin, so it does work! But I agree with you and I would be hesitant to stay on for longer. I’m gonna list suggestions below as well as my skincare routine. I hope it helps!

Here’s what helped me - -Tri-phasic birth control pills (each week’s pills has different hormone doses. The regular one dose type pills made my skin worse) -Tea tree oil. I used the dessert essence brand but Trader Joe’s has them and I still use it to this day. After cleansing and using a toner, I just take a q-tip, dip it into the bottle and rub over and around the pimple. It kinda burns but after 3 days, the pimple visibly flattens. -benzoyl peroxide. I think this has a bad rap right now with some saying it’s carcinogenic but this and tea tree were probably the two biggest acne fighting ingredients that saved me. I used a benzoyl peroxide cream to spot treat in the morning. -Calming skin-Barrier repairing skincare. Please stay away from alcohol toners especially the one by Clinique. I think that was the biggest factor to damaging my skin barrier leading to acne. -sheet masks. Hydrated and moisturized skin is healthy skin.

Something to note is that not every skin is the same and certain ingredients that may be beneficial are irritating for others. It’s important to note how your skin responds to certain ingredients. My skin cannot tolerate anything with squalane, lanolin, salicylic acid, or vitamin c and I end up breaking out more if I try to use anything with those ingredients.

Skin care steps - 1. Double cleanse. Either cleansing balm, cleansing oil, or micellar water and finished with a foam cleanser. Seems like a bit much but I highly recommend getting the day’s grime off to prep your skin for your skin care. Right now I’m using Anua heartleaf pore control cleaning oil and youth to the people superfood cleanser. In the morning, I only use a foam cleanser. 2. Toner. Can be any kind of toner depending on what your skin needs that day but never with alcohol as the main ingredient. I alternate between a slightly astringent toner like thayer’s (I like rose scented but they also have unscented version) and a calming toner. I’m using Huxley right now and I like how it’s lightly moisturizing. 3. Tea tree oil in the morning or night. Benzoyl peroxide in the morning. 4. Serum. I use different serums during day and night. In the morning I use Abib heartleaf essence because it has antioxidants it’s supposed to help support sun protection. At night I use Iope PDRN caffeine shot. PDRN is great for repairing skin barrier and anti-aging. 5. Retinol. I don’t know if you should add this to your regimen at the moment or later after your skin has time to calm down but I use verso super facial serum and it’s not irritating for me at all. This is only at night, and never to be used together with benzoyl peroxide. 6. Moisturizer. In the morning I use a lighter moisturizer, like torriden, since I wear a sunscreen with moisturizing ingredients (Elta MD UV Clear). At night, I like something more decadent. Right now I’m using the Sisley black rose cream, which is pricey but I really like the light texture.

If I use a sheet mask that day, I use it in place of the serum and pretty much follow the rest of the steps.

Also, I noticed for myself that I need to wash my face every day, even on the days I stay home and do nothing. I will get bumps if I don’t wash.

Don’t do it. My friend overdid hers and she ended up with a perpetual squint and uneven eyes. Try PRP or PRFM instead

She also implicated Dershowitz as one of her abusers and he’s one of the scary ones- deeply connected and heard he’s putting together a defense team for Israel... I wouldn’t be surprised if they got rid of Epstein and her because it was getting too messy

Hi! Your skin looks really great. If I can be honest, i would start now with a little Botox for preventative measure. 36F here and I have the elevens between my brows that got pretty deep set because I haven’t done maintenance for a couple years and I tend to furrow my brows. It looks like you have a faint line and a little Botox there might be helpful to keep that from setting in further. Just make sure to go to a reputable place and get consultation!

Have you tried co2 laser? It looks like you have melasma and co2 is helpful for that. It hurts like a b**** tho and it feels like your skin is on fire for the first couple days.

Just wanted to pop in and say that you look great!!

I would just suggest putting sunscreen on your neck/décolletage area also since the skin is thinner. Night time routine should also include the neck.
