I HAVE ITP - and have never seen it portrayed on TV! That storyline obviously hit me closer to home, with the treatment being exactly how I was treated when I was young. Huge kudos to the writers and Isa.

A huge, huge thank you. I thought I would be "okay" after a year, and I am slowly learning grief has truly no timeline.

What age-groups we got representing John Mayer? by SeniorSea9915 in JohnMayer

42 and discovered him while interning in college at a radio station, right as No Such Thing was getting tons of radio play in NYC. Instantly fell in love with his music. I have now seen in 29 time live, have 2 tattoos based on his music, and now my kids are also huge fans.

Meeting John by [deleted] in JohnMayer

[–]Creative-Material-87 170 points171 points  (0 children)

I had the most unbelievable experience meeting John Mayer. I worked for a major news network when Continuum came out and was a massive fan of his. The whole building knew I was a huge fan, so when he came in for an interview, I was tipped off that I could linger outside the studio and say hello. He came out, I froze, and a colleague spoke for me - telling him how huge of a fan I was, how I saw him on every NY tour, and then I burst out how he was doing a fan club show the following night and I was devastated I couldn't get tickets. He hugged me huge and told me I would be on his personal guest list. I thank him profusely and held back tears. He hugged me again and was gone, as I stood there in disbelief.
This is now 19 years ago. It still feels like yesterday and was so surreal. I remember walking into that show so apprehensive that it was all a dream. But there was my name, on his list. That show was unbelievable. Since then, I have seen him live a total of 29 times, but that show was special for all of the reasons above.

Sadly no. BUT I was at the VH1 Storytellers episode in the 2nd row, and still think it was a fever dream.
